Dude they hyped BOTW for the fucking wii-u only to release it at the Switch's launch, they also did it prior for Twilight princess.
Yeah, and neither of which were exclusive to Wii or Switch.

I'm saying the idea that they would suddenly make a revision or new console and make their biggest games exclusive to it is straight stupidity, not just having them be cross gen.

This is even moreso when Sony and Microsoft are not even doing launch exclusives anymore.

I could see a Switch Pro happening, but just like with the DSi and the New 3DS, it'll be an upgrade that adds so little to the platform that you'll never actually need one. The DSi didn't enhance anything, and the New 3DS reduced some loading times. Seriously, the faster clock speed in the New 3DS was more beneficial for homebrew than anything officially released. Even the exclusives weren't noteworthy - there were hardly any, and the first ones that come to mind are all the worst ways of playing those games: Xenoblade Chronicles, Minecraft, and The Binding of Isaac Rebirth. I don't know why Isaac had such bad framerates on there, even with the low screen resolution, despite the PS Vita version running just fine.

But as we all know, Nintendo consoomers would sell their cars to buy one of Miyamoto's turds in a box. I'm still perplexed by posts I've seen before where retards were gleefully excited about trading in their perfectly good 3DSes and Switches for downgrades, like the 2DS and the Switch Lite respectively, and pulling any which reason out of their asses to justify consooming.
The only non-emulation based use of overclocking (for me, atleast) was non-choppy framerates on Senran Kagura.

Did Demon’s Souls have a PS4 version? I could’ve sworn that was a exclusive launch title for PS5.

Sure it’s a remake of a PS3 game, but let’s be honest people weren’t gonna dig up 2007 hardware to play the original game.

This might have been discussed earlier but why are there so many trannies, fags, and far leftists in the modern Nintendo fandom? This seemed to happen when the Switch became a thing. It's hard to find a non faggy Nintendo fan online besides Kiwi Farms, 4chan, and real life. I really don't understand it. I know most of the modern internet is faggy but for some reason fag Nintendo fans seem very obnoxiously loud.
Nintendo games are usually pretty inoffensive and have at least above average gameplay. The worst fanbases are almost always ones where the source material is family friendly.

Hey, this is Nintendo Fanbse Stupidity, not Sony. We're all aware that Sony Fanboys are complete retards incapable of using ebay or going to a used games store and paying 120-160 for a PS3 and Demon Souls and would rather clamour for a 1000 dollar PS5 from a scalper to play the niche game the majority probably didn't give a shit about when it first came out.

I agree. I think it's because those kind of games usually have simplistic gameplay and low skill bar. Thus, they attract manchildren who aren't able to play harder, more challenging game, but still want to claim themselves as "gamer", because it's considered as cool thing or hip nowadays.

On a different note, I'm sick of seeing or hearing nintendofags' demand for the official localization of Mother 3. Aside from the fact that there's a solid fan translation (done by pros iirc), it's not that good of a game itself. I've played it for a while, and I can't bring myself to continue. It's so plain and boring. And I assume the other two games are of the same. I like the sprite work, though.

Those people refuse to understand the small echo chamber they’re in. Any niche product they beg for, even if it trends on Twitter (Mother 3 or Persona 5 Switch port), will never happen because companies know these people don’t put their money where their mouth is.

99% of Switch owners don’t even know what Mother is.

They also beg for Earthbound to be released on the Switch's online system and get pissed whenever it doesn't (to be somewhat fair, Nintendo adds a lot of shit). They could easily emulate it, or if they want it legally, they could just buy a cheap Wii U and download it from the virtual console.

The worst part is, they're not going to play it. These are the same people that claim they love the series despite not never playing any of the games.

Why play a game when you can watch a 3 hour youtube video on how deep and meaningful the lore is and how it relates to mental illness and the LGBT struggle of today, that's even better than playing the game itself.

I'm what many would consider a super mega autist fan of the Mother series and every time I see people once again demand Nintendo to release Mother 3 or port the games I roll my eyes. I'm probably in the minority, but I really wish people would shut up about it. I also wish they'd stop worshiping the games and demonizing anybody who didn't like them or point out their flaws. Mother games are like Marmite - you either like them or you don't.

I can't help but feel bad for Reggie - having to put up with this complaint even after leaving Nintendo.

Fun Fact: The easiest way to tell if someone hasn't played at least Earthbound is if they glorify the "queer" or LGBTAWTFOMGBBQ+ themes and how the series doesn't objectify women and so on and so forth is to mention are the words: "banana peel" and people either understand what you're referencing or sit in awkward silence not sure how to respond to you.

Unfortunately, I would've fallen into the latter, despite playing all three games. It's been a long time since I've played Earthbound, so I had to look it up. That was a pretty damn questionable for a Nintendo game.

There's probably other stuff that would fly well over the heads of LGBTWhatever "fans", like the elevator lady that yells at you to stop looking at her hips.

I don't know of a lot of other cult series where half of the so-called fans have never actually experienced it.

I really have to wonder how long it's going to take the Nintendo coomers to figure out that entire scenes were removed and formerly sexual dialogue was altered from the Famicom Detective global releases. I've been waiting for weeks and not even a peep. The only unaltered version is the Japanese release, but the Asian, European, and US release are all altered.

Granted all the modern censorship changes for all visual novels this generation have been minor and without pointing them out people probably wouldn't notice. But the changes were larger than what Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation had.

Probably the result of arrested development, and not being able to relate to anything intellectually or emotionally above a character designed for 5 year olds - sad.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but for whatever reason, I haven't noticed nearly as toxic a fanbase for Mario games as I have for Pokemon, Sonic, etc - anyone have any thoughts on that?

There's also the guy who wonders if there's such a thing as Pretty Lady Paper. Sure the localization team added stuff to his quote to make it more acceptable to a Western audience but my point still stands.

I totally agree. There are very few cult fandoms as insufferable and pretentious as the Mother fanbase. It breaks my heart to know that my favourite series has one of the worst followings on the internet.

Apparently, one of the Famicom Detective Club games (The Girl Standing Behind) in the english release has gotten multiple scenes removed:
-interacting further with Ayumi's chest in one particular scene prompts to a fake gameover where you get treated like a creep and human trash by everyone.
-interacting further with the policewoman's chest at the police station prompts to another fake gameover where you're sent to the cell (she also force you to admit you're a pervert detective before you can go back on the game's tracks)
-the female highschool painter calls you a lolicon when examining her chest repeatedly
-the commentary when examining the skirt of the victim's corpse has been altered

Turns out that Nintendo of America can still censor shit if the branch can get its hand on a separate build so the guys in charge do whatever they want, unlike worldwide releases. I don't get exactly the logic behind the changes since none of the sexual harassments were paint in a positive light but that's americans for you I guess.

Glad I've bought directly from the japanese eshop since I don't usually trust english-only versions of japanese games

I guess I must be magic

Also it's not NOA, every release outside of Japan in every region has the changes.

MovieBob takes up half the toxicity for the Mario fandom (and not because of his size.)

In all seriousness, while toxic and autistic Mario fans most definitely exist, I think part of the reasoning is because Mario games tend to be simple games that focus on fun rather than have some sort of "epic" story that autists would want to insert themselves into.

It also helps that Mario has an established personality (unlike Pokemon main characters), though his personality isn't exactly one that autists want to project themselves onto (like Sonic).

That said, there's still plenty of stupid shit in the fandom, like self-inserts (usually autists that love the RPGs making their own characters), shipping (you'd think Mario and Peach would be a definitive thing, but no), the whole "Waluigi for Smash" shit that people took too seriously, the Bowsette shit, etc.

One example of stupidity I vaguely recall hearing about was from Paper Mario: TTYD.

There was a character named Vivian in the game - who in the Japanese version was an "effeminate male" who dressed like a woman and seemed to have a crush on Mario; in the non-Japanese releases they changed it to a female character - which apparently caused a bunch of immature idiots to sperg out about it.
