Nintendo will never localize Mother 3. Anyone who has actually played the game will know exactly why: there were a number of important characters in the game, the Magypsies
Even if Mother 3 had nothing remotely "questionable" in it, it would still never get localized, because of Nintendo's deep-seated aversion to anything that looks like giving in to the weirdo obsessive fans.

Switch pro is fine but Iiterally got the switch in Jan 2019 and I'm not ready for another one lol
You shouldn't worry much since we're reaching the fourth consecutive year of the Pro rumors being a thing and yet proven wrong again. often said "leakers" and Bloomberg journalists trying to delay the supposed announcement at a later date ever since 2018.

I'm surprised people are this gullible though.

I'm glad I found this thread. I'm a Nintendo fan (mainly a Zelda fan) but I've started to get royally sick of this community.

I think this stems primarily from when the Breath of the Wild game came out, there was endless bitching about how this game 'wasn't Zelda' and didn't have that Zelda 'feel,' and wasn't linear (a.k.a it wasn't Ocarina.) Yet it ended up being the most top selling Zelda game of all time and helped sell a lot of Switches, because a lot of people who weren't previously fans of Zelda seemed to like it. It brought in a lot of new people into the fandom, people who previously weren't all that into Zelda or had left the fandom long ago.

What was the kicker was that prior to this game coming out, there was regularly talk on forums about how the fandom was declining and that people just weren't fans of it like they used to be, as many of the older fans had left the fandom and moved onto more darker medieval-esc titles like Dark Souls because Nintendo refused to grow with it's older gamers.

This made me realize that there is apparently a sizable subset of fans in Zelda who really never have moved on from the Game Cube era of Zelda, and despite the much needed influx of new fans, only want Zelda games that are endless ports/remakes/clones of Ocarina of Time or sequels that star or guest star the Hero of Time, despite Nintendo having done that since Majora's Mask, even though it had been slowly killing the fandom. They seem to have a bad case of the nostalgia feels and 'muh childhood' and will gush about that game being the best of all time and so innovative, yet cannot seem to accept that some people might not like it as much nowadays and might want Zelda to continue to be innovative and different instead of always being stuck in 1998.

I might get Puzzle Pieces, but damn Zelda should not remain stuck in the past just to please these people.

The problem with BOTW is that it played like a Game Demo all the way through and the content was shallow. It's the same issues that are affecting games like Biomutant.

Majora's mask had more depth to it's world and more interesting shit to do and that was on the N64.

You forgot you had the ice power, didn't you? It's okay most people did that. Most of those puzzles could have been solved with the ice thing.

I dunno I liked wandering around the overworld. It was a lot of fun and I still find new things here and there. I'm hoping they can expand upon a lot of those basic ideas in the sequel though. BOTW is definitely a glimpse at something that could be much greater, but I'm willing to accept it as a first step. BOTW 2 is going to have some larger expectations attached to it and I hope they can satisfy those, because a reskin of BOTW without much substantive change will be very disappointing.

I don't really believe in leakers at all, see: pokemon stars and the MOTHER 3 LOCALIZATION IS CONFIRMED from Emily Rogers, but I really do think a Switch pro or new switch or 4K switch or whatever you wanna call it is coming. I think that's the main reason no BotW2 shit has been shown yet. I'm just looking forward to it being released because I know a flood of hacks are gonna make smug tweets talking about how they called it.

I absolutely despised actually playing Majora's mask but yeah, the stories and darker atmosphere were pretty interesting.

It'd be interesting if Nintendo did what they did with Majora's Mask now, giving a team barely any time and reused assets to make a product with near absolute creative freedom.

Switch Pro is never gonna happen. Switch 2 or whatever Nintendo's next gimmick is gonna be is more likely, but that's probably at least 1 or 2 years away. Even if there was a Pro, I wouldn't buy it, Nintendo only seems to cater to the Consoomers and the braindead fanboys. They don't care about quality anymore. It shows in their controller drift, and it shows in any first party game after the first few launch titles.

I could see a Switch Pro happening, but just like with the DSi and the New 3DS, it'll be an upgrade that adds so little to the platform that you'll never actually need one. The DSi didn't enhance anything, and the New 3DS reduced some loading times. Seriously, the faster clock speed in the New 3DS was more beneficial for homebrew than anything officially released. Even the exclusives weren't noteworthy - there were hardly any, and the first ones that come to mind are all the worst ways of playing those games: Xenoblade Chronicles, Minecraft, and The Binding of Isaac Rebirth. I don't know why Isaac had such bad framerates on there, even with the low screen resolution, despite the PS Vita version running just fine.

But as we all know, Nintendo consoomers would sell their cars to buy one of Miyamoto's turds in a box. I'm still perplexed by posts I've seen before where retards were gleefully excited about trading in their perfectly good 3DSes and Switches for downgrades, like the 2DS and the Switch Lite respectively, and pulling any which reason out of their asses to justify consooming.

I’m lowkey interested in a Switch Pro just to crack it for homebrew when the hackers get their hands on it. Aside from SMTV I haven’t been interested in most of the stuff on Switch so far.

There’s no way it’ll have exclusive games while the normal Switch is still selling well. It’ll be Nintendo’s PS4pro - a mid-gen refresh for the people who want 4K and better performance.

I still think it's plausible that these Pro rumors are really just about a minor revision like the one that slightly extended battery life, especially because of the weird wording around the new Switch replacing the old one in the most credible leak about a Switch Pro. At this point I'm hoping it is just a minor revision since just about everybody seems to have jumped onto the Pro bandwagon in the past few weeks and the ensuing disappointment would be fantastic to behold.
