Played Mario 35, didn't like it when I found out an easy way on how to beat it. Phase 1: Just go to World 1-2 as many times as you can. Phase 2:??? Phase 3: Profit.

Bro, Steve made it in. I am so hyped right now, he was number 1 third-party character

Kinda sad to see the backlash though, especially when he was gaining traction prior to Banjo. All arguments are essentially boiling down to he is boring, no personality, etc.. I have no idea what to say. Fans act like most Smash characters have personality, but outside of a few like Dedede the characters in Smash are overall lifeless husks of their in-game counterparts. Just look at how overly serious Mario is. Steve’s move set looks great and the character will definitely appeal to the Millennial and Zoomer crowd that I know the Smash community hates because they believe Smash is not a kids game. ...Really? I swear, this community.

Here is hoping for Crash though, he would be the last of the characters I genuinely want to see. Maybe we could also get 2B, who knows.

If we're going to see any third-party character additions, my money's on Crash Bandicoot and Spyro The Dragon since they've made a comeback. Honestly, I'd be cool if they added a really "out there" character from a grimdark M-rated franchise just to throw everyone off. Someone like Doomguy, Vito Scaletta, pretty much any major character from Grand Theft Auto or Resident Evil.

Of course, the hardcore Nintendo fans will probably sperg out.

You're right. I watched multiple people on Twitch and YouTube playing Mario 35 and found it to be fun because of the intense battle royal game play, but I can attests many of them farmed for coins and times to outlast the rival players who played straightforward. Of course it's a online battle royal based on a platformer.

This doesn't make any sense. They are releasing another Kingdom Hearts game on Switch.

The business world is a funny one, what's okay and and what's not in terms of deals depends on the company and what the deal entails. Releasing a Disney game on one of Nintendo's consoles may be A-OK, but licensing out their character/IP to Nintendo may be a BIG no-no.

In this case Melody of Memory coming out on the Switch (as well as the PS4) is a combination of SE's doing (remember that they're publishing the series now due to Disney Interactive/Buena Vista Games going under after Disney Infinity died) and both parties not wanting to miss out on the Switch's massive install base.
who the fuck asked for a rythym game.
You'd be surprised, when Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call was released a lot of fans wanted a KH-themed title in the series. Hell, a quick Google search yields posts as old as 2012 saying that KH would've been a perfect addition to it.

Looking at the last 4 characters, I have a few predictions.
First, I believe this fighters pack will be an even split of Nintendo and 3rd party. So that leaves us with two Nintendo characters and two third party left.

To start with the boring, the Nintendo icons will probably be more vanilla picks. Fully expect a Pokémon from Sword & Shield. I do not know which Pokemon, though money is on the rabbit, but I believe we are guaranteed a new one. I also expect Pokémon to come next, likely a direct around the release of Cold Tundra or sometime in December.
The second character is Rex from Xenoblade 2. Sakurai already hinted that ARMS would have been in if given more time. The only other character he said things for was Rex. I believe Rex will make it as a correcting of a mistake now that ARMS has set the president.

As for 3rd party, Crash is the most likely. I can easily see him joining around E3 time next year. I think they are holding him off as Crash is more than likely going to use the new design Toys for Bob created, which is good to me as their design is much more fitting than the N’Sane Trilogy designs. I believe Coco will also be in as an alt for Crash. Crash is the last console mascot to be included, and is probably the closest Smash will get to another Sonic reveal, so I doubt they would miss out on such an opportunity.
Finally, I see 2B for whatever reason. Nier has taken off in a very similar way to Persona 5 since the last game’s release. Smash also has a history of including Playstation exclusive characters. There is no basis for this one, I just feel it happening at some point. The only thing stopping it is censors, though they could always just add shorts to the design and not ruin it to heavily.

More to the point its another hoop to jump through and, while any video game company worth its salt will realize that SSB is a massive, permanent, free advertising campaign, Disney might not be smart enough to hone in on that. Or if they do they might get greedy and try do to something like charge Nintendo for the use of music tracks- in which case it will be like Cloud was last time where he only gets one or two songs while the Castlevania characters get 17. Disney is also very protective of the IP and might want to be very nosy during development, to the point of being annoying or slowing shit down for e-mails to California. At which point why are we bothering with these fuckers again?

I mean I love me some Nintenduh, but I'd rather some of their franchises just die and have the good games available on virtual console or brought back as an anniversary remaster/HD... as opposed to chugging along on short games with little replay value/work put into them.

Super Mario 3d Allstars has apparently outsold Xenoblade Chronicles HD release. Mario was just some minor cleanup on rom ports while Xenoblade had nearly the entire game remade.

So if people are wondering why Nintendo didn't go the full red carpet treatment for the games I think this is why.
It doesn't have to sell more, it just has to sell enough. I don't know if Nintendo of America has changed, but I remember them being criticised for leaving anything that wasn't a core Nintendo franchise (Mario and Zelda) out to to rot.

Trying to look into Smash as anything more than that, like so many of the fans do, just flat-out can't work.
Super Robot Wars does deep crossover lore fairly well. It's silly, but it works. I've heard Project X-Zone does it well. I think with Smash it could be a lot of fun. The problem is Nintendo is still salty about people putting the Subspace Emissary cutscenes online. Nintendo fans obsess over canon, so I can imagine Nintendo wouldn't want their fanbase complaining about Mario sharing a universe with Minecraft and Metal Gear.

The fact that they somehow made Animal Crossing of all games have little replay value is shocking, everyone I knew with the game stopped playing around the last summer update and only picked it back up due to the new fall update

I've been enjoying the new Halloween stuff quite a bit in ACNH. Unlike the other events, this one isn't repetitive and is rather casual. I wish the game had more content though as I probably would've had over 1k+ hours but after summer the game was just straight boring.

STEVE
Takes Us To The Salt Mines!

Hasn't Notch been dis associated from Minecraft for most of the game's existence by now? That and he's repeatedly talked about how he dislikes the direction Minecraft took after he left. But that's something you'd have to do more research on than knowing that he said a bad thing about troons on Twitter to know, so no wonder they have no idea.
