The one thing I don't get that people who are hard OG 2 fans say the gameplay isn't as hard enough as OG 2. That's one change in Sigma I liked in that you can play the game without having to rely on Ultimate Technique every single fight on higher difficulties when the game spawns 7 exploding Kunai Ninja in a narrow room.
tbh I don't see how anybody who's not playing on Master can complain about Sigma 2 having nerfed difficulty, and 2 Vanilla on Master is pretty unpleasant. Even ignoring the Sigmas you can tell NGB is the one that got polished to death and NG2 is the one they ran out of time with.

Also the other character missions are not optional, which is why I never liked them. They break up the pacing too much. They should function like alt characters in DMC3 or the SE characters in 4. I should be able to play the whole game with them.
I don't even know what the other characters are in there for, besides BOOBS. The weapons are the "characters".

NG bosses are at their best when they're against a single other humanoid (Murai, Doku, Genshin) and at their worst against big floating monsters (Awakened Alma, Helicopters, T. rex).
The boring fights against giant monsters where you just stand there waiting to dodge something prophesied Dark Souls.

This is pretty much the only spectacle fighter franchise I never touched, and my understanding is that the 2 remake they put out doesn’t have NG+ for some crazy reason.

General tips for someone that’s put hundreds of hours into DMC and Bayonetta would be appreciated.
Ultimate Techniques are stupid overpowered, probably the dumbest thing about the combat in all of the games. Sometimes you can start a fight with one (hold Strong Attack to start charging and wait for the enemies to come to you) then chain them (hold block so you don't auto-get orbs orbs the dead guys dropped, then roll, jump, press Strong Attack upon landing to grab the orbs and do another one) etc until everybody's dead and you didn't even really do anything. Probably video can demonstrate this better than I can explain it.

Every other DMC-like I've tried just bounces off of me. NG's a lot less epic style sick combo chains and more trying not to get insta-murdered any given second. (I can't speak from experience compared to Bayonetta et al, but hearsay seems to back me up)

Xbox censored Ninja Gaiden 2 Black trailer (PS5 version frame by frame comparison). Not strange since Xbox are cucked by black woman Sarah Bond, the whole company is woke and DEI as fuck

Now that people have had a bit more time with the remake of 2, how is it mechanically? Am I better of playing Sigma 2 from he master collection or is it an improvement?

Anyone have tips for the first game? I picked up the master collection and it’s giving me more trouble than I thought.
Try, try and try again. Then you'll figure it out. It's not really helpful, I know. Different enemies/encounters gets shredded by different combos and tactics. Mobility is often the key to success so run, dash and jump around a lot. But not always, sometimes being stationary and twirling the flails is the answer. Sometimes being in the air is really good. Sometimes it's really bad.

NG2 Black is pretty much Sigma 2 Black but I think it's far better than regular Sigma 2. In regular Sigma 2 it would often feel like I'm bouncing a soccer ball against a wall waiting for it's health to run out. Not fun. Tedious! In 2 Black you fuck up enemies faster, but don't worry, there's a second serving! It leans more towards the original NG2 in that way. Plus the weapon upgrade system in Sigma 2 is fucking retarded...

Just playing sigma 2 here because it was part of the master collection, and I just ain't seein' what everyone is complaining about. Like the enemies still feel like they have less health than the first game, but I don't really see how adding more the fall easier would be any more fun. Less enemies with more health also let's ya actually build up a few combos on em too!

This is still rapidly becoming on of my favourite series, and I really am starting to prefer it to DMC lol.

As a newcomer to the series playing through the Master Collection for the first time I have to say Sigma 2 kinda sucks and didn't get fun until nearly the very end.

More gameplay for NG4.

Yeah, not too excited with how this looks. The combat and level design are putting me off hard. This looks more like a Platinum project that turned into a Ninja Gaiden game halfway through d3evelopment. Granted the only Platinum game I've played was Neir Automata so I could be wrong but I dunno man.

If you're playing on default difficulty you're not playing on the original difficulty... Just saying.
