It's actually quite common for obese people to say that.

Here's the thing, though: they tend to snack throughout the day, and a "snack" of morbidly obese person is not a trail mix pack. So in their mind, it's true that haven't "eaten", because it was just "snacks"
 
I agree that it wasn't real. How could it look like that if he was wearing shorts? It doesn't make sense. They're milking it for all it's worth, too.
 
I think Nicholas and Orlin are way more like brothers than spouses, seeing how they behave, even when they're actually the latter..

He isn't even good at trolling. He blathers on for most of the video about going vegan for a short while. Then, he goes to Chipotle and swears up and down it's all vegan, to then have two huge chicken burrito bowls with cheese and sour cream and act as if we're all stupid. "It's the new vegan meat that just came out yesterday!" Would it kill him to be honest for one fucking day? No wonder both his birth parents and adopted parents want nothing to do with him.
