The difference in my experience is night and day. My town has a lot of American blacks and a lot of recent immigrants from Ghana, Guinea, and Nigeria. The recent immigrants don't associate much with the American blacks and push their kids to be doctors and engineers. They have more in common with Asians than American blacks.
You have to remember, the American black is descended from people who were defeated in wars and sold off. The recent African immigrant is descended from the actual kangz who won those wars and sold them.

My reasoning for asking is that Africa is still a shithole continent with constant in fighting despite the Europeans laying down infrastructure and groundwork before pulling out.
