Wasn't sure which thread to post this in so I'm posting in this one and the African American appreciation thread. Adding more icing to a red velvet cake and eating the whole thing with no fork, just your hands is top tier nigger behavior

Is it just me or do niggers have a weird obsession with red velvet cake? The only person I've ever known that has an affinity for the stuff is black.

Red velvet cake is pretty good. It's a good twist on chocolate cake. Niggos just like it because it's violently red, like flavor-aid or watermelon, and bright colors stimulate their perpetual toddler brains.

Damn near every red velvet cake I've ever had has tasted nothing like chocolate, was dry as all hell, and had way too much frosting. I've never really been a cake person in general but red velvet always seems to be the worst choice.

That recipe on Wikipedia there actually looks pretty nice until it mentions baked beans. I'd probably also omit the carrots, personally.

Man, what's wrong with beans? Black beans are both healthy and delicious. I partially agree on the carrots, in a dish like this I'd prefer them diced over grated.

I'm convince most niggers and by niggers, I mean American Blacks because there are some Sub-Sahara African Cuisines that are pretty good, but God knows how much colonization had to do with that. But getting back to the niggers I swear they have palates that are a cross between a toddler and someone who lost their taste buds. The sugar obsession and putting ungodly amounts of it in stuff is the toddler side but the drowning shit in spices and hot sauce is the loss of taste buds. I knew someone who lost a lot of his ability to taste, and he would drown his food in hot sauce just because he could taste that.

Edit: I said Sub-Sahara because Northern Africa is more racially and culturally in line with the Middle East than Sub-Sahara Africa no matter how much blacks want to claim Egypt. Speaking of which Northern African food is excellent.

it's very likely that if a sub saharan dish is any good it is probably a result of colonization simply because it's that colonization that permits us to know about it in the first place, and which supplies them with ingredients, spices, cooking supplies and methods to create it
the developmental divide between a sub saharan african culture that has never once been colonized, and one that has been, is so insanely large

the only reason anywhere in sub saharan africa even has an airport is because someone from elsewhere was in charge of them at one point
they like to joke about europeans not knowing how to season their food, but nobody ever points out that before colonization, none of them knew any cooking methods other than boiling and holding morsels of food over a fire

The entire bottle of red food coloring makes it taste weird, probably affects the moistness too.
It must, because I would never in a million years have guessed that's a chocolate cake. I always just assumed it was an underflavored white cake where the frosting was the primary flavor.

One of my special interests is baking, and red velvet cake has an interesting history.
There’s multiple variations of the story, but essentially the name ‘red velvet’ came because it was a very luxurious, high-class, tender cake made with cocoa powder. So, it was velvety with a reddish color from the cocoa and whatever acids were used in the recipe, buttermilk being popular in cakes at the time. I suspect that whatever variety of cocoa used back then had more red to it’s color than what we have now, as well as some people saying they used brown sugar and brown sugar was sometimes referred to as ‘red sugar’.
Then as time went on people started adding beet juice to dye the cake more red, this became a popular solution to when times were hard and cocoa was too expensive but people still wanted a red cake. The neat part came when it turned out that the beet juice made the cake more moist, so that became popular and you can still find recipes for this cake that call for beet juice today.
But now it’s just cake and red dye, it’s like three steps removed from the original red velvet cake.

Sorry if this has been posted already but this one is using Clorox to clean her chicken

Similar drying methods also exist in Asian countries. Also, most catholic countries tend to cherish stock fish since it was one of the few sources of protein they could eat during lent.
I think that video is somewhat inaccurate, because even Wikipedo (yeah I know) says this:

While Nigerians have good taste in liking this product, they are by far not the sole market for it.
