Pickle flavored cashews are pretty good, the cashew doesn't have a very strong flavor. I think the only place I've seen them is Casey's General Store gas stations. Loves might have them. Outside the US who knows.

But the best way to do cashews is to buy raw ones and oil roast them yourself. Add some good salt and I dare you to eat only one quarter cup.

Shelled are okay only if you're making a paste and don't want to spend an hour shelling them. Otherwise you're just a lazy cunt.
 
I mean I'll agree to disagree, personally prefer them in the shell, it's a classic part of the process to shell them yourself and I feel like my experience has been the opposite, they're crunchier in the shell than out, and cheaper by far in my experience. The ones that are shelled are always chewy VS crunchy, and cost way more. Though I'll admit if the goal is to tumbler coat them in some spice mixture, shelled makes more sense.

Nigga, I know. When I was poor and working all the time, my dinner most nights was cheese and salami/dried fruits and shit because it was the cheapest way to fill all bases so I wouldn't starve. If I had extra, a bottle of wine as it was also the cheapest way to get drunk.
People out here making my survival rations into a fucking hobby and making all the nice shit cost way more now I can afford it.
