I'm hoping she just misspoke or something because holy shit a single meal should not be ~2000 cal. Even if you just ate two meals daily with no snacks (lol) how tf can you consume 4000 calories a day without feeling like absolute shit the whole time? Do they actually live like this?

Pretty easy if you're active, actually. Extremely easy if you're wanting to bulk. But we're talking about a sheboon with a sugar addiction, not someone clangin & bangin at the gym.

bearing in mind you'd be eating high quality food if you were bulking, not highly processed slop. The sugar crash these nogs must have, must be like an ecstasy comedown. no wonder they're so belligerent.
 
yes but its the stuff thats attached to them. eat 2000 calories of meat and veg and then eat 2000 calories of cornstarch and seaz'nun then see which makes you feel better.
Bulking isn't about feeling good it's about gaining mass, and if you're going to try to bulk by eating meat and veg you're just not going to make it.

And 2000 calories isn't bulking calorie intake.
 
I bought some cornstarch for a recipie and educated my mother on this thread contents (and African Ceiling Birds) and decided to try it.. Have to say, I don't see the hype. Maybe I need less frontal lobe to be a connoisseur.

It's an entire pot of sweetened cream cheese. One "serving" is an eighth of a tub, but it appears the entire tub is getting eaten. That's 1920kcal, 104% RDA of sodium, 112% RDA cholesterol, over 200% RDA added sugars and nearly 400% RDA of saturated fat. But that's just the "cheesecake filling".
The oreos one is easiest to judge. There's 12 whole oreos, and we'll be generous and say they only used 3 oreos to make the crushed oreos.

Serving size is 3 oreos. So this is 800kcal, 50% RDA saturated fat, 30% sodium, 130% RDA added sugars. Then Luckyleaf brand blueberry topping.

I think she used about half the can. Serving size is 1/7th of the can so this represents in total 385kcal and 120% RDA added sugars.
That means the Oreo "cheesecake" totals about 450% RDA saturated fat, 450% RDA added sugars, 130% RDA sodium, 112% RDA cholesterol and a whopping 3105kcal. Half of it by itself is practically enough to provide all your daily calories (albeit in a very unhealthy manner) and I get the impression they're being treated like single serve desserts for after dinner. The only possible blessing is that it might be fat rich enough that the ensuing sugar crash doesn't make the person feel hungry again in a few hours.

I've worked in medical care and I was blown away by how many blacks think 'a meal' is covered by eating a family sized bag of chips or something like that. There's very little knowledge on the importance of your food. So they shovel down sugar and salt carelessly.

It's why they are going wild for cheap ramen disks drowned in seasoning salt sauces. It tastes good and thus it must be good! Then they "somehow" become a frequent flyer on the local ambulance service and are not visited by their family as they die.

I know this topic has been rehashed a thousand times over ITT but it will never stop being disgusting to me. Stop splattering chicken juices all over your fucking kitchen. And don't even get me started on the ones who apparently use soap or bleach?! When I thought they just rinsed with water, that was bad enough. But I'm racist if I have healthy skepticism about their food safety (or lack thereof.)

...um, I eat one meal a day and it's frequently 2000-3500 calories, and I'm in excellent health. Low BP, good heartrate, low BF%, high muscle mass.
I have a really high metabolism and I exercise daily, so the rules are different I guess.

The real issue isn't how many calories, it's what's in those calories

Not all of us like to stuff our faces all at once, once a day though and physically can't.

I have on occasion eaten 6000 calories in a single sitting, so I must have an unusual stomach because I could eat like that every day. I just don't, because I'd be a fatass
For nutrition what you eat matters.
For weight management all that matters is calories.
Try losing weight by only eating 1200 calories worth of butter a day.
Sure, you'll lose weight. You'll also be dead in a month.

You can't separate nutrition and weight management, this is why so many stupid people bang on about how they can't lose weight when they diet. Proper nutrition is THE most important component of weight management. It's literally the only thing that matters.

It's really not that weird. If you've ever enjoyed a plate of chicken alfredo you're looking at about that amount of calories. Obviously you don't eat that every day, but god damn how is this astonishing to you? A double quarter pounder combo from mcdonalds is 1500 calories.

I don't understand the whole chitlins and pickled pigs feet thing. There's an international grocery near where I live, and they have raw chitlins ("chitterlings") in the meat department. fucking gross
