As for police being involved, it's very possible, and even likely, that the RCMP requested his local police do something in regards to his stalking since the RCMP as a whole are under massive public scrutiny in the wake of their handling of the Rehtaeh Parsons case.

God damn, this reads like every stalker situation in movies ever.
There really isn't much of a future for this guy. I don't really know what'll happen to him, though. Are Canada laws more lenient regarding stalking and harassment? Will he get leniency because of his autism? It's like a way less comical version of October 2011 with the Chandlers.

Actually, he doesn't live in Canada. I found out he's currently living in Lancaster PA. Which sadly is not too far away from where I live . I'm half tempted to contact the local news media about this, to shame the police into doing something. But, I'm worried the news will look at his mental disorder and try to make him the victim. The media can be stupid that way.

Note : I'm a law student nothing of the following should be relied upon for legal advice and if your using legal advice obtain at a online foru, its not a good idea
Criminal Harassment (s 264 of the criminal code) is a hybrid offense meaning in can be dealt with as a summary conviction(more or less a misdemeanor) or an indictable offence (more or less want is called a fellony in the States) and summary conviction will carry a maximum of a 2 year less a day in a provical correction facility and indictment carries up to 10 year in one of Her Majesty's Penitentiaries (federal prison) so numerous factor would play in to it can could range from a day to 10 years

He may there is some case law out of provincial Courts of Appeal that indicate that autism and the way a person with autism views the world must be consiter when evlulating Mens rea( a fancy way of saying knowage of the wrongness of the act under s. 264 its subjective the Courts say we have to use a person with autism) thus the court could find that the did not form the elements of the offense and thereby really did nothing wrong ( the paticluar case I'm thing of was a Univeristy student who attacked his room because he belived due to his autism that said roommate was planning to kill him)
