I dont understand why they cling to conservative and religious beliefs as some kind of defense tool when they treat women like shit for being "immoral". They seem to forget their messiah helped out and hung out with a hooker, a thief, and a liar and didn't pass judgement.

See, at first glance, you actually sympathize with him. Because you find out this girl he was over the moon for suddenly tried to exploit him to get him to pay for her abortion when he has no expected responsibility. She only asked him because she knew he was crazy about her.
However, what he did erases any sympathy he MIGHT have deserved. Sure, she was being manipulative, and that doesn't make her 100% a victim in this story, but what he did is just beyond forgivable .

These guys are always so clueless about how women treat their friends, it always makes me laugh. Venting and confiding to each other and asking for help and advice and stuff like that is what women do. It's different from how guys act with their friends. She's not manipulating you, she's just being (what she thinks is) friendly.(Found on reddits r/ProRevenge)

A lot of them seem to think "but she made me listen to her problems so i have to get some". No buddy, you didn't have to listen to her. She didn't make you spend her time on her. You did. You thought with your dick and thought it would get you laid, so you decided to be there for her thinking she'd blow you as a reward. You choose how you spend your time and what you put your effort into. Just the same as nobody forced me into my current job, despite me not being the biggest fan of it at the best of times.
God forbid, you're friends with a girl, and she talks to you about her problems like she'd talk to any other friend about them? I know i've said this too much but this really shows how out of touch nice guys are. They see any friendship as a step towards a relationship, and that's all that a majority of their friendships with women are good for.
So I'm uncertain whether the person responsible for this article technically counts as a Nice Guy. He was in a relationship with the woman for some time. But...I think that it's worth a gander anyway. The mental gymnastics you're about to witness are not to be missed.

Summary: middle aged Microsoft millionaire (he was 40+ when he wrote this) dates college student/waitress for 4 months, she dumps him, he keeps sending her emails wanting to talk about their relationship, she's nice at first and then finally tells him to fuck off, and 2.5 years later he's still suffering from PTSD. Also he has no friends except his cats.
Seems likely he's a Nice Guy: he thinks that Emma owes him love and friendship just because he exists. But even if he isn't, he's scary asshole. The scariest part is how many people in the comments agree with his writeup.

What this guy and countless others just like him fail to grasp is this: a woman has the freedom to change her mind at any time.
I know that it hurts when somebody who was a huge part of your life disappears from it so completely and utterly that they might never have existed. It hurts like hell but it's something we all experience sooner or later. The people we love aren't just supporting characters in our story. They have their own paths to follow even if those paths lead them away from us, perhaps forever.
It's a shame Mr Reifman reacted to their separation in a way guaranteed to tarnish whatever happy memories Emma had of her time with him.

Fuck, so do I. This is like that r/NoSleep story someone posted up-thread but a million times scarier because it was real. The Imgur OP even edited their post to explain the crazy guy tried to kidnap her like in said story. Jesus Tapdancing Christ... I'm so glad she's safe and he's in jail.
