Turns out letter nice guy is a barely 18 year old IT intern who has some kind of connection with the powers that be so HR let him off with an apology. Sure hope this nipped this kind of behavior in the bud for him, 'cause 18 is still young enough to learn that most people don't like creepy anonymous notes.

In all seriousness though, if you're 18 and feel the need to leave anonymous letters on someone's desk, its probably for the best that you get that nipped in the bud before you do something REALLY fucking stupid.

I think it's common for nice guys to seek out opposition on the internet so they can get bitchy about it. It must be a side effect of their particular brand of self-righteous martyrdom, but the result is threads about them seem to attract the target more than threads about any other average lolgroup.
