A few years ago a good friend of mine stumbled ass backwards into marrying a guy who was (just being realistic here) way out of her league. She even said it herself a few times leading up to the wedding in a kidding-not-kidding kind of way. Which all made it even more weird and uncomfortable when her maid of honor completely fell apart after the ceremony because she was apparently secretly in love with the bride the entire time and had never said anything.
There was an open bar, and as the night progressed she got drunker and drunker, until the point where she was telling everyone how awful the husband was and how he didn't deserve her and was totally wrong for her. We spent a lot of the night trying to talk her down, one on one and as a group, but it just got worse and worse. She'd waver back and forth between gushing about how beautiful and perfect the bride was and insisting she was just joking because she was jealous, to getting more and more tearful and vitriolic towards the groom and all of his friends. At one point she offered to join them for a threesome if they wanted, which was sorta funny because the conversation was already on the raunchy side, but it stopped being cute when it became clear she was serious about wanting to crash their wedding night. It reached a climax where the couple were leaving to head to their hotel room, and she tried to physically stop them from going and 'jokingly' insisting that the bride was hers and he couldn't have her yet.
One of the bartenders even intervened at that point and tried to make her realize that wasn't okay, which really really stood out because it was the kind of event where the bartenders barely talked and just nodded politely.
She disappeared for a while after that, and everyone assumed she was just embarrassed and composing herself, but it turned out that she'd gone looking for the married couple's room and was so drunk she couldn't remember what floor it was on. Not sure what happened after that, but she never successfully found their room so at least their wedding night wasn't interrupted.
No one really kept in close contact with her after all of that, but I occasionally creep on her social media just to gawk. Now she's got a kid and is pregnant with a second despite constantly posting about how all men are awful and disgusting, and how it'd be better for the world if everyone turned gay and the human race died out in a generation. I feel bad for those kids.
