This movie, as someone in chat once called it, is "the Citizen Kane of lolcow cinema". Personally, I think it's more comparable to 2001: A Space Odyssey, but it works. This seems like the kind of film that's really funny to watch while wasted with some friends.

No offense, but as funny as it may be, it's ultimately just a stream and I can already see the endless bitching because it's not a regular movie.

I'm going to suggest that we should watch Virus (1999). It's a fun and terribly acted body horror flick that stars Jamie Lee Curtis and the unsuccessful one of the Baldwin brothers. Not the highlight of any night, but it's an entertaining flick that won't simply exist for the first hour before beginning *cough* Cthulhu *cough*.

So, what's our theme for Friday? I'd suggest War Movies (The Dirty Dozen, Saving Private Ryan, ect)

Is movie night covered, or do we need more bullshit?

put remake of charlie and the chocolate factory and I know who killed me

I think i might be interested in joining the upcoming movie night. Is there a current theme to work with or still just random stuff?

I've got a bunch of ridiculous stuff on my computer, some awesome, some so bad that it's awesome, and a ton of over-the-top stuff I'd be happy to upload if it meets the criteria.

Edit: Damn, is it still at 6? I tend to work a little later than that unfortunately...

It runs all night.

Just a heads up to everyone that I’m going to be running a marathon of Mystery Science Theater 3000 episodes starting at 6:00 PM EST on Wensdays and continuing all through Thanksgiving day. Flight delayed? Don’t want to socialize with your family like the terminal autist you are? Show up at the regular movie night channel and watch countless hours of cheesy old movies.

Here's something that looks interesting.

Tickled is a 2016 New Zealand documentary about "competitive endurance tickling" and videos featuring it, and the practices of those producing the videos, directed by David Farrier and Dylan Reeve. The film explores possible legal and ethical issues with certain individuals making the videos, and has itself been the subject of legal challenges.

That's a great documentary! It gets bonus points because given the hilarity of the subject matter, it actually kind of keeps you on the edge of your seat - it's strangely compelling. They also made a short follow-up "film" on youtube about the aftermath of what happened with that movie; there was also talk about a potential follow-up to the follow-up because the shit-show just kept on.
