Without looking up a plot summary, can someone here explain what the plot of Megalopolis is plot point by plot point?

Gustave Fring is the mayor of not quite New York City. Adam Driver is an architect that can stop time (for some reason) and has also discovered/designed some new material for a city of the future, he runs some kind of urban renovation and a design committee for the city. Driver is basically Robert Moses but played as a good guy for some unknown reason.
Driver is dating Aubrey Plaza, that's not important but it also is later when she ends up marrying his uncle and fucking his cousin. Drivers cousin is played by the guy from the hit reality show 'He Will Not Divide Us', he isn't important until his is later when he is a poor stand in for both Trump and Mussolini.
Oh and there's a nuclear satellite that is falling out if the sky.
Gustave Frings daughter is a run muncher that has done nothing of note with her life. One day she seems Adam Driver stop time, she comes over to his place and is delighted to find that Adam Driver not only uses child labor to design his cities, but also has a magical negro slave played by Laurence Fishbourne (who also narrates this fever dream).
Adam driver starts dating the daughter. Eventually they end up at a Virgin Auction, although they are bidding to keep her a virgin? Then, surprise, she was boinking Driver (who is called Ceaser now I remember) and suprise, she's also 15. But she isn't she's actually 21 so just ignore all that other MeToo stuff you hear about Copolla in the future.
Driver quits being an architect, but then decides to run for mayor or something? His cousin also wants power, to they start to disagree. Driver knocks up Frings daughter, Fring disowns her, then forgives her. Driver gets shot in the head at this point, he lives but loses his super power. Fring says he will support Driver politically, but admits that he screwed with the criminal case surrounding Driver because Driver was suspected of killing his wife?
Oh and right around here that nuclear satellite crashes into the city which should be a big thing but isn't
It's the future now and the new city is being built, Driver gives some speech and the whole city is now okay about being bulldozed? And then the movie ends.

I know I have missed about an hour of plot in there somewhere but I can't remember

Sounds about right.... Maybe? IDk, I didn't hate the film. Despite the film's plot having no structure and outside of a few lines from Lawrence Fishburne there is no narrative to the story, I kind of like it. It felt like an assortment of all of the random ideas copolla had tucked into a binder for film ideas he never got around and dumped it into a strange experimental film.
 
I like the Hitchhiking theme of today. @Mussolini’s Merkin Good pick with The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy show. The fact that they never made a movie with the original cast of the Radio show back when they were all still young and alive has to be the most mind bogglingly misfires in all of media right next to having the Star Wars OT cast still alive by the time the sequel trilogy first came out and not have a scene where they are united together on screen or killing off Captain Kirk in Generations.
 
@Mussolini's Merkin deserves extra fraternal asspats this week from me as well- he brought Things. Afaik I'm the only one that was there to watch it and holy fugg... It's not just retarded, its a special mix of grimy and stupid- like need a shower afterward. Ya know, something Brun0 woulda gooned to. If nobody watched it id say bring it again.
 
The Hitcher was absolutely fantastic. One of the best thrillers I've seen in a good long while.

I'm pretty sure it got suggested because of Steven Seagal's environmentalist speech at the end of On Deadly Ground. Always rely on chat to pick the worst option.

There is a lot of penguin movies, they were huge in the mid 2000s. Lack movies isn't the issue for me, just too samey with talking animal night we just had. Plus with not so good themes, sometimes better to not have many movies on the list, so less left overs for anyone around at the weekend, and they can watch off theme stuff instead.
 
Ok if you are looking for someone to blame for the theme tonight I suggested this last Sunday.

You’ll need to offer the theme up for a poll on Sunday Night. I try to check this thread for suggestions but sometimes forget. Catherine O’Hara Tribute night won so there will be a lot of stunning woman for you to look at this Friday.
 
the list is not preserved, but according to my files the last Duvall movie we watched was "Kicking and Screaming" during the GBZ related to soccer a month ago.
