So last minute movie night with a sharpe movie (napoleonic wars in Spain and France) and a Kung Fu mantis style movie
 
We have a special four movienights this week, as tomorrow the 11th is Veterans Day in America, I will be showing classic American war movies all day including Patton, The Battle of the Bulge, M*A*S*H and Casablanca.

Friday will be Dune night. Jodorowsky's Dune (the documentary), Villeneuve Dune, LynchDune (The Extended Cut to fill more time) and probably Lawrence of Arabia assuming we get a decent copy up in time.

Saturday will be a marathon of the first sixteen or so episodes of Spike TV's hilarious Deadliest Warrior TV show. Highlights include Pirate vs Ninja, The Taliban vs the IRA, and Zande Warrior vs Aztec Jaguar (NUBNUB).

Sunday will be British Remembrance Sunday, since even though Remembrance Day is on the 11th in Britain as well its celebrated the following Sunday. I wanted an excuse to play classic British war movies and this is just as good as any. Main event is the supremely influential The Dam Busters (1955), with other highlights include Where Eagles Dare with Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood, Too Late The Hero with Michael Caine, and The Wild Geese with a boatload of famous actors from the era.

Herbert pretty much directly acknowledged he took a lot of inspiration from both Lawrence of Arabia and the actual event surrounding the Middle East following the end of World War 1, so it counts.
 
Looking at probably a 1:00 PM EST start time tonight.
 
Tomorrow will be Big Doomer Night, which is my demented way of celebrating Thanksgiving. Appropriately though, its also a Blood Moon tomorrow.

I didn't meant to end movie night early i accidentally hit the erase button while grabbing my bed sheets In a attempt to stop from falling off my bed.
I am taking the rest of the night off because I did fall off it and hurt myself landing on my back
I really shouldn't have tried to pick something off the floor from the bed
 
I'll be starting my Thanksgiving Day event in about 30 minutes. We've got food filler, a Star Trek episode, The Last Waltz, and two Bruno flicks.
 
So Stephen Sondeheim has died. And I was wondering, for a future movie night on movies based on Stephen Sondeheim musicals.

Stephen Sondheim, the renowned composer of "Into the Woods," "Sweeney Todd," "Gypsy," "Sunday in the Park with George" and other essential works of musical theater, died early Friday morning, according to Aaron Meier at DKC O&M, the producers of Sondheim's current production "Company." He was 91.
