Funny, it plays video now in the sponsored post preview at 100px tall.

I appreciate the auto-transcription as an (almost) deaf cunt.

This was hilarious while mobilefagging though. I think it was screaming because it was a jeetshit video.

Seeing Russian subtitles on each video is bizare thing
Machine translation sucks but its really always have been the case with Russian language. I think Yandex translation is the most accurate for obvious reasons

Everything gets re-encoded. It doesn't trust user input.
Tangentially related, but does the new system change anything on the Archival Tools tutorial post? There's some specific recommendations about file size and encoding on there.

(If you do wind up editing it, I'd suggest changing the yt-dlp link to the main readme that has idiot-proof download links.)

At the risk of repeating bug reports people already made: on Android, this video in particular is messing with everything underneath it.

I don't have anything new to say but suddenly I'm able to watch clips instead of being a second class tor farmer which is nice.

This bug for me seemed to pop up a day or so ago. I use a plug-in called Video Screenshot in Chrome. It adds a camera icon to the top right corner of videos that lets you take screenshots.

However, it interacts with the new video system; it now just separately places the a big icon above the video, and the video plays below it.

If it's one video, it's manageable

If there are multible videos, they stack on top of each other.

I don't expect a fix or anything for whatever retarded setup I have on my computer, but I just thought you should be aware in case if factors into anything else.

For compatibility I suggest a compatibility option for video in account settings where it instead displays the old browser based player and if something doesn't work there either that's too bad and the user should upgrade their browser.
I second that, if it's possible to have legacy options in settings I definitely want to use them.

Also, some images work for me now and some don't, might have something to do with how they are posted(I can't attach files ever since the major update months ago, so I exclusively use "insert image" from the top toolbar option instead and the images are broken from everything I post. I imagine the pictures I am able to see came from "attach files" option and it varies by user and post).

I'm seeing similar issues to what these people reported -- CSS layout issues, no volume slider, the control captions are overlaying each other on the left side, the control box obscures a lot of the video and doesn't go away when I click play. The earlier version from a few days ago was definitely working (and looking) better.

Also the control box is usually extending way out from the body of the video because of the captions.
Okay my CSS layout problems are fixed. All the controls are showing properly, and they actually work now:

For anyone on Brave who is still having layout issues, go into brave://flags/ and enable "Experimental Web Platform features", it fixed everything for me. Turns out there was a ton of javascript errors in the console, some of them mentioned "popover" events and that I needed to enable that flag.

Apologies if treading previously covered ground, but would it be possible to put a white border around the media player GUI, or something else to make it pop a bit more? I know the green is in keeping with the site theme, but it can be difficult to see at times, especially for the genetically deficient colorblinds.
