Battle royale is literally the worst genre of game I could think of for arcade use. The fact that you need a large player group to start a match and the overall long match times where progressively less people are actually playing the game over time sounds like an absolute fucking nightmare for arcades.

Who the fuck is going to go to an arcade and put their money into a machine and then stand around for 15 minutes waiting for other people to possibly show up and play with him? And then when the game starts and you're the first guy killed you've lost your money AND you now have to stand around waiting for the match to finish if you want to play again.

Maybe Bandai Namco can make this idea not fucking trash but to my uneducated mind it seems like these machines will be covered in a layer of dust 2 weeks in.

Second off, it actually seems pretty fun. The part 3-5 stands were pretty cool. I'd like to see how they manage some of the more wonky stands.
Also, regarding arcade battle royales being a bad idea: there are a lot of arcade games in Japan that are similar to it, if not exactly the same. Battle royales might take a while compared to other games, but overall the Japanese are always willing to play/wait for longer games, especially considering arcade culture actually exists in Japan.

Some of these machines(other battle royale cabinets, not JoJo) make their way to college towns and cons, and they're really fun, even if you barely understand how to play or what's going on.
