fuck.. travelling around is pain
Getting around on foot? Yeah, kinda. The game world is huge for a 1.0 but the teleport points are all over the place. It's worth it to run around and grab them when you can as well as go to one of the various car dealerships around town and get an actual car. They don't handle perfectly but I don't mind driving around too much. There's also an actual train you can ride around town that goes around to the stations in real time. It's obviously not the most efficient way to get around but it's kinda chill.

Overall I've found the game to be decent enough. If a game doesn't click with me, I usually drop it within a session or two and I've had enough fun in this one so far to want to see where it goes. The combat is more Wuwa than Genshin but it doesn't feel perfect, but there's something there with the whole cycle reaction system which is only hampered by the lack of characters for certain elements. At launch I think there's literally only one Chaos element character and she's a (standard) S-Rank unit. If the support/outro skills weren't tied to reactions the combat might feel a bit better, but maybe I am expecting Wuwa combat too much in this case with its emphasis on using intro/outros to swap characters rather than just... doing it whenever. It still does feel awkard to have my main DPS units able to set up reactions while my one universal buffer doesn't participate in them whatsoever.

I also applaud the game for not giving into the trap of making the MC character worthless like Genshin. While they're not like the best unit in the game, they have a unique ability that is somewhat valuable with the Instant Cycle stuff. As long as they don't make another unit with the same abiltiy/element, I can see them having at least a nice niche in certain reaction-based teams. If anything maybe one more character with an element on the oppsite half of the cycle might be good to cover both triple reaction chains.

One trick for anyone continuing the game is that one shouldn't bother with any car apart from the starter Europoor shitbox the game forces you to buy & then saving just enough to smoothly go for the 250k Bike (the Ducati Streetfighter lookalike). Bikes are essentially better for travel in this game due to being spawned just about anywhere, unlike cars.

The game will force you to get another car, but you can save money & just grind a different game mode for it later.

I did briefly use a bike after beating up one of those random group of gangbanger who left their bikes. Apparently getting on one after you beat the shit out of them doesn't count as stealing.

I do the same, my jalopy lovechild between a Golf Mk.1 & Volvo 240 is not as fast, or even fun.

Lol this game must be a treat to play high.

I was randomly driving from the starter zone to a random spot to earn some level up currency and just enjoying the scenery. Started driving through a underwater tunnel, was looking around noticed the tunnel was see-through and started watching the whales/fish swim by. All of the sudden the water turns red, the tunnel melts away, and I'm driving up a waterfall until I splash back down to fight a space whale.

I thought the next character release ends up sharing the element, but as far as I know they're mostly support. Granted the game sort of works around popping some characters in and out anyway.

Plus you can A: Cover that bitch in blue flames with the special arc and B: Bike as Hathor. Nobody else gets the luxury of being a driver from what I know.

Game's amusing enough so far. Fairly simple with alot of random shit to goof off and do. Curious to see where they go from here.

IDK if it's possible with other 2 wheelers apart from designated 2 bikes (there's a wheelchair in this game, which us barely faster than the scooter), but one of my gameplans is getting the headless ghost rider solely to recreate this:

I'm legitimately just jewing my coffee business for the upcoming Porsche collab & somehow not feeling burnout. It's surprisingly pretty fun for most of it.

It is with immense sadness that I must tell everyone that we can't ghost rider the Scooter or the Wheelchair. We can do it unowned bikes tho.

That said, it is with immense pleasure that I must declare that Nanally is home. Praise be the genki gremlin cat.

For a second i thought i was misremembering and thought this was the other anime gta game "Ananta" that said i heard praises for the game and they arent as predatory with the gacha.

Hows everyone experience so far?

I think it's pretty fun. It's open world so I had plenty of moments where I'm cruising around "I'll just do this one thing or whatever" and then I climb a random building. Oops looks like I messed around for like 4 hours. It's anime as all fuck so expect the usual tropes, references, and other silly shit. They basically seemed to go "What genre is popular at the moment?" and answered with "Yes."
Think the best way to give it any type of quick summary is Grand Theft Persona Impact: SCP edition. It has a bit of simple management sim stuff, fishing, racing, the standard gameplay is kind of Genshin. Then it has a few goofy side quests where it's suddenly a horror game or something.

The gacha is considered nicer than most because the standard for "nice" games is that you usually get a 50/50 for the rate up banner character with your first SSR pull. This game has no 50/50. So you do the pulls and if it's the SSR pull you get the character period. You can still hit pity but you'll never have to do it more than once unless you're pushing dupes. (Granted dupes of course give you passives and so on to power up the character per usual)
It has an alright rate I think otherwise, standard like 2-3% or whatever but skipping the industry standard coin toss is the big note.

Probably the biggest point against could be that there's a stamina system that works on a weekly reset. It's still a gacha game so I assume it's to keep a daily playerbase and have people invest into it instead of buying everything in game day 1. Worth noting that there's a different daily resource for upgrade items and such that isn't weekly, only the jobs and money stuff is weekly. You could do some refills if you want but after you get a little bit into the story and unlock some mechanics you're generally set up to pop on, hit a few things and call it if you want to avoid burnout or don't want to refill.
Even then, it still gives you enough that you'll be able to get some stuff started after some story progress. Maybe the first few apartments, or one of the mid-cost cars or fully modding a cheaper one (Absolutely recommend getting the cheaper bike if nothing else), setting up the cafe management stuff etc.

Haven't tried online at all so not sure how that goes. Game functions fine as a solo and story has to be done alone anyway. Otherwise as far as I know it's relatively simple and basically set up for the minigames like racing/mahjong, or specifically for groups to do the heist, dungeon stuff/bosses, or general free roaming.

I really like the moments where the MC drops the whole "happy go lucky friend" vibe and just goes stone faced killer. Like when he/she puts the blade to Zankous neck in the mansion, or slices up the guy in the 2nd lightbulb side quest (Kokoro Rider), I'm not saying I want them serious all the time, but having Zero be more unforgiving to truely evil people would be refreshing, and am hoping we see more of that in the future as the plot becomes more serious.

I really like the game, huge open world with lots of collectables, side quests, about 50 hours of overall content outside of dailies/endgame. Gacha is incredibly fair for a 3d game, especially compared to wuwa and genshin, since there is no 50/50 and you are guaranteed 1 free limited weapon from monthly currency. I do have some criticism though, even outside of the more obvious problems like putting the annoying mascot character front and center in the 2nd main story quest, a lot of plot points are just not executed well. The final main quest had so much potential for example, but they make so many obvious hints at who the villain is and the direction of the mystery that it ends up not only falling short, but dragging on a lot longer then it should have. I don't know if that's because they think we are just too dumb to not connect the dots or what, but I was really disappointed up until the final 2 fights. I would recommend it though if I haven't made it obvious enough, just don't expect cinema yet, I think they are just finding their footing narratively, but I see potential.

I'm hooked on the game. As long as they keep pushing out new content I can see myself sticking to this becoming my main game.
