Since some people want it but are too retarded to make it themselves. And are honestly retarded for wanting one in the first place.

Welcome to the neutral politics thread. The (completely unenforceable by me) rules:
  • State your position clearly as "for" or "against" a topic.
  • Cite your sources for any statistics.
  • Keep debate short and to the point.
  • No ad hominem, slurs, etc. Keep it clean and above the belt gentlemen.
I'll start: I am for funding and building new mental asylums where people can be held by order of judge or doctor in order to sober up off of hard drugs, and to keep the mentally unwell. These programs would have elements of skills building and job placement programs. People would be able to be detained for some period of time.

AGAINST. The neutrality is for open and honest debate. So long as ideas can be expressed freely, and listened to freely - that is, freedom of speech does not extend to freedom to disrupt - I believe that minds and hearts can be opened to good ideas.

Wasting is the most immediate, visible and life-threatening form of malnutrition. It results from the failure to prevent malnutrition among the most vulnerable children.
