On that note, there are some existing films/shows that have already done the scene involving a kid dancing like a stripper at a talent show/pageant. Little Miss Sunshine and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia are two good examples, though those are comedies that play up the absurdity of how terrible it is. Here there’s no comedy nor much of a message, it’s just putting it in there and blatantly trying to say, “See how the crowd’s booing? This is a bad thing!”

I hate that people are trying to use so mainstream films to counteract the hate for Cuties. Like this:

There are films that have children in it and explore their sexuality to a degree, but films like Leon and Taxi Driver don't have, to my knowledge, those same children twerking in fron of a camera and the cameraman zooming in on their privates.

Precious didn't even use a child to do this. They craftedly made the shots so that you just see the male perpetrator engaging in the act(s).

Someone mentioned it before, but I'd unironically would be very interested to watch a movie about the making and release of this one. Funny enough, it would show off its intended message about the horrors of sexualizing children caused by today's society better than any offbrand Lifetime movie.

That being said, I don't think the director was trolling/a pedo. I think she's completely fucked in the head and she thinks this is normal in society.

They would put a big gloss over that movie, just like with the new Star Wars behind-the-scenes. Whether the kids enjoyed doing this stuff or not would be completely irrelevant. In fact, it's a terrible argument that these defendors of these profligates could easily use to justift underage porn or underage sex.

We can't make this normal. The buck needs to stop right here, and move backwards. People gave Big Mouth a pass because it's animated and there was this whole message of being proud of your body or something. They're doing the same thing here, except this time it's not animated, and they're now making it as though right-wingers are against child exploitation. I guarentee you they will go further if given the opportunity.

That being said, I'm a powerless motherfucker who doesn't even use/purchase Netflix, so I'm doing the best I can here,

Please don't fucking clip out the hyper sexualized parts and post them. I have a feeling that's what you're talking about. Its bad enough we have to deal with this.

I think they've already been posted somewhere in this thread.

i watched the Trailer and wasn t very fond of the idea of an 11 year old girl want to twerk ...that reminded me so much of the outrage that russian childrens dance group recived when they danced on stage ^^... here s the video =) btw...the children were supposed to be Bees and the play they did where something with winnie the puh

Seeing the whataboutisms coming out strong. "But child beauty pageants! but dance moms!" As if we approve of those things. The actual hypocrites are the ones who condemn those things while giving Cuties a pass.

Apparently Cuties is trending on this porn site

Have fun with that information
Part of me wishes the big wigs who do this shit where killed in the most extreme ways possible, but they have too many guards to die, and the killer(s) would likely get a sentence longer than James Fields in the most optimistic end for vigilante justice.

Oh for fuck sake not the Taxi Driver discourse leftist invented in order to jerk off.
Iris is a child prostitute and her whole story it is show as bad and disgusting in order to reflect the horrible part of New York in the 70s, and that the only man who wanted to save her was a mentally ill psychopath (Travis Bickle) who only did it in order to satisfy his craving desires to be a hero.
