They'll censor fucking anime, but actual children with crotch shots and ass shots and dry humping is fine. Go fuck yourselves.
Yes. Sooner or later, anime will be next. There's nothing normal about an entire industry that revolves around drawing children in all kinds of incredibly compromising situations without any shame whatsoever, and you know it.

Referencing Child Bride? A movie that was literally an exploitation film intended to have an underaged girl frolic naked for pervs to watch? Bold move.

Edit for context:

Since most people here are probably unfamiliar with the film: Child Bride was a movie made in the 30's, during the time of the Hays Code. There was an "exploitation circuit" of films made outside of the studio system, which frequently had shocking, graphic or otherwise lurid content that wouldn't be allowed in mainstream film, usually under the guise of being "educational" films. Nudist camp documentaries, cautionary tales of drug abuse or sexual deviancy, that sort of thing.

Even by those standards, Child Bride kinda stands out. It's an oddly appropriate film to mention when discussing "Cuties", actually, since it was also a movie that purported to be against something it was indulging in itself. The plot, such that it is, is that a guy blackmails a woman into allowing him to marry her 12-year old daughter. His plan is then thwarted because child marriage was banned a few days earlier. Then he gets killed. The end. Really not much of a movie, tbh. In theory, the movie was "educating people on the need for laws against child marriage". Which, in fairness, was still legal in some states at the time (and to a degree still is in some states).

However, that's not the part of the movie that got people's attention. There's a brief topless scene featuring the 12-year old, followed shortly by a long scene of her playing in a creek in the nude while the man who would attempt to marry her covertly watches her. It's completely gratuitous, and is pretty blatantly there because they knew a certain type of people watching were...well, let's just say they weren't necessarily big proponents of outlawing child marriage.

The movie's probably best known nowadays for being considered by the MST3K people as too painful for them to joke about.
I was going to mention Child Bride myself but was too lazy to. The biggest difference between it and Cuties is that Child Bride was obscure exploitation trash that was widely reviled and avoided even in the sleaziest film circles of the time, whereas Cuties advertised and promoted as a major release by the current biggest streaming service.

That's why I thought it was hilarious that someone would bring it up in defense of Cuties. It's a trashy movie that was clearly designed to appeal to pedophiles, and everyone has pretty much recognized that fact about the movie since it's release. It's such an absurd thing to bring up if you're trying to argue Cuties isn't designed to appeal to pedophiles.

I'm tired of explaining the difference between drawings and actual children and how they're unrelated. Anime characters don't look like real, actual children which is what pedos want. I cannot tell you how many times I've gone into detail on the subject, but it gets haggaring. Its completely different.

It has an 11 year old blowing up a used condom.

It has a child taking pictures of her genitals and sending them out over the internet.

It has an 11 year old in tight leather pants shaking her ass.

Its fucking disgusting. When you make a movie like this, you don't use actual fucking children. Except for the French, because they're pedophiles. Its fucking disgusting. The 10 minute YouTube review told me all I needed to fucking know. I am not going to watch this disgusting shit.

'Oh, but they have body doubles listed in the credits!' (one of the excuses I saw a defender use on Twitter).

My question is at what point were these body doubles used? (not that it matters; it's still a gross movie that is actively exploiting children).

I must note, although I am petty, that the whole thing being passed around about a loli breast in the film is untrue.

Just like to point that out. There is no nudity in Cuties, but that doesn't invalidate it from being what it is. I'm just pointing it out for clarification.

Unfortunately, you're wrong. One of the clips that was circulating on Twitter showed the scene of the 11 year olds watching a vid of a rival dance troupe, where one of the girls flashes her bare breast to the camera.

My PS4 just recommended Cuties to me as a new release I might find interesting.

The fuck kind of weirdo do they think I am?

That's just Netflix trying to push this shit, Linder has had it recommended to her in three or four categories despite the fact we only really watch true crime stuff...

Oh wait...

PedoEra still going:

I don't usually ask for people to get doxed but WTF is this shit.

"Not that I have kids but I do work with them."

Why would you ever say that within breathing distance to this movie? You are digging your own grave.

It's getting harder and harder to ignore the fact that the political left in the west consistently projects its own disgusting opinion into his rivals, and Cuties might be the zenith of that projection.
From what I heard about the film, it tries to make a statement about rape culture and how girls are getting sexualized from a young age, only to be yelled back that absolutely no one in their right mind finds this shit acceptable in any fashion. The push for child sexualization is a thing progressives have been going on for a while now, and the film makers live in a bubble where the only bad cases of child sexualization MUST be done and supported by the conservatives. The progressives are just about free love and doesn't try to push sexualization into children.
Now let's do wholesome stuff like watch an ad with two male fast food chain mascots kiss each other, listen to a pop star talking about her wet pussy and listen to youtube videos about how it's great that two underage characters in a cartoon make out.

I get that the film maker was trying to get the message across of how Western society sexualizes young girls, and the traditional Muslim culture is oppressive towards women. But they could've gotten that message across without actually sexually exploiting 11 year-old girls and still get the message across (the movie Thirteen is a good example).

"Gorgeously shot in hot and cold colors by Yann Maritaud (Cuties), who contrasts Lyz’s blazing emotions with the frozen mountaintop exteriors, the photography keeps us forever glued to the burgeoning champion’s side both indoors and out."

"The issue of whether Fred is breaking the law by sleeping with his student never comes up because Lyz is 15, which is the current age for legal consent in France."

Reading The Verge piece defending Cuties and associating it with QAnon. Then I notice their logo closely resembles the pedo symbol of smaller triangles within triangles. Not surprised.

Why ‘Cancel Netflix’ is trending
How the streamer’s bad marketing poster mutated into a QAnon conspiracy theory and harassment campaign

This is what I've been saying. I think a movie like this COULD have worked as intended if they did this instead:
  • If the focus wasn't the girls themselves, but the sleazy, corrupt producers and talent agents of these child exploitation pageants
    • The film should have had a main antagonist who was a stereotypical Harvey Weinstein type who's seen sexually abusing the girls in the film, to illustrate how bad pedophilia is and how minors are corrupted in the entertainment industry. Unfortunately (((we all know why a movie like that would never get made)))
  • The marketing and poster art should have been dark and sad, similar to maybe the anti-Seaworld documentary Blackfish. Maybe have the poster design of a girl in a tutu on the ground crying, rather than using the Netflix design where it tries to look like some fun teen romp like Glee or High School Musical
  • Instead of using real little girls, they could have gotten little people or adults who appear younger than their real ages. Remember pornstar Lupe Fuentes? She was a former adult film star who was a legal adult, but had the body and voice of a 13-year old girl. I understand Cuties was an indie film with a limited budget, but surely the producers could have gotten 18+ actresses who are just really short and have high-pitched voices. And if you think I'm still talking out of my ass and that it's impossible for adults to believably play the roles of teenagers in movies, I have three words for you: Michael J. Fox.
If they followed my aforementioned suggestions, the movie could have been like American History X.

I know I'm late, but here's Leafy Clone Optimus's take:
