Filippina wife's name is Meshelle, apparently. She tried filing for a restraining order against him and has asked for a divorce.

On 20 September 2017, Meshelle took out a restraining order against me, presumably with the intent of filing a VAWA petition for removal of the conditions on her residency in the U.S. She ended up not showing up to the hearing, so the case got dismissed.

As of January 2018, Meshelle was wanting me to sign off on a divorce. My attitude toward that was, if she wanted to go that route, she should have stayed with me for the two years till it was time to remove her conditions, and then we could have gone and done that together, and then she would've been free to do what she wanted. She should have had a kid with me, and then after getting her conditions removed, she could have either left the kid with my mom and I to raise, or she could have taken the kid with her. Either way, I wanted a kid out of this marriage, but if she hadn't had a kid, maybe I still would have helped her remove her conditions as long as she was still living with me, assuming I didn't get the impression she was deliberately trying not to have kids.

Since she didn't even stay with me for two years, I think it does call into question whether she entered the marriage in good faith; or whether, whatever her initial intentions were, she continued to act in good faith. Basically the two years were a form of indentured servitude for her, kind of like how in signing the I-864, my mom and I also took on an obligation to support her, which we fulfilled by giving her room and board and everything else she needed. We did what we were supposed to, but she left anyway.

I just don't like this habit women have these days of saying, "I don't need no man! I'm a strong and independent woman!" and then saying, "By the way, you still owe me" even though they were the one who chose to break up the family, and even though they're not giving the family anything in return for the ongoing help they want. If you're going to have a clean break, then have a clean break, and don't expect further help.

I also don't like this habit women have of saying, "Let's get married" and then saying, "Let's get divorced." Make a choice and stick with it. Either choose to be married, and stick with that choice; or choose to be unmarried, and stick with that choice, if you're going to have a choice. Otherwise, you make it look like you can't handle having a choice, because you can't make up your mind. And in reality, women can't handle having a choice, obviously.
