Trucks was pro wrestlin', xfinity was... not bad, though it highlighted the goofy nascar rules at the track (track limits don't matter except this one place). Cup will probably have people freaking out that it wasn't like last week.

I've sadly missed out on Xfinity. I was more focused into March Madness for the past few weeks

I was impressed by the racing (though I only watched the Cup Series). There wasn't good racing throughout but Byron having to get back to the lead from 3rd was some of the most encouraging road racing I've seen with this car.

Speaking of, Bristol was phenomenal all things considered. I really liked seeing the drivers running until their tires were blowing out, especially after the first couple of incidents. I'm hoping it's not a fluke, as this year has been well above average for racing product as far as I'm concerned.

Speaking of that, I saw a Raising Cane's billboard with her on my way back from work. It's the first Nascar ad I've seen in years. There's no Chase Elliott ads at Napa, there's no Ricky Stenhouse displays in Kroger, there's no #43 inside Dollar Tree, but this girl who took 4 years to run a full-time ARCA schedule gets national media attention.
Are they turning her into the next Danica?

Heaven forbid.

Yeah. They explained that yet? The long view looked like what I expected - the driveshaft letting go and polevaulting the thing.
There's an article from Bozi Tatarevic that gives the (most probable) reason why:

TL;DR, basically the welds towards the rear of the truck arms were probably old and compromised. The wheel hop under braking eventually became terminal and made one of those welds give out, and through force of momentum broke the other truck arm and connection to the driveshaft along with it, and off it went.

Bozi. Why, why is your Serbian ass writing for the Autroonian? This is a disgrace to your people.

Super tl;dr: This is what happens when the race shops don't have full fab departments anymore.

Or more likely, the guy making the welds was on a schedule to get it sorted out FAST.

Juuuust nuts. The line scan pic there makes it look less close even.

Amusingly I caught a weekend summary podcast last night that has a nog on it. He was malding about 'the line's not straight' and 'Buescher really won' until this pic came up, then it was 'Larson races dirty' until he finally retreated into his ultimate hate cave of 'Max didn't win at least'.

Ford, though. Oof.

LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Flag to flag that was one of the best races this car has ever put on, and I never thought I'd see Craven's Darlington win get topped, but here we are. I was as sure as the 17 team was that they had gotten it, That's gotta suck to find out you lost halfway on your way to making burnouts.

Next up is a dead heat finish invoking the tiebreaker rules, right?

Apparently Bubba threw another hissy fit? Not even terribly newsworthy anymore but that won't stop the NASCAR redditors from malding over it.
