Naruto/Boruto Griefing Thread

I mean, if you approach it from the position of "making sense", then no, it doesn't. At the end of the story Naruto is no longer an incel village idiot who just tries to latch on the geographically closest girl. He has actual options regarding whom he's going to fuck. And in-setting, it is not possible to make a rational argument for choosing Sakura over Hinata. Sure, Hinata is boring as a character, but Sakura is a self-absorbed bitch with no tits. Given that Naruto is also a self-absorbed narcissist, tit size comparison alone seals the deal, never mind that as a person Hinata fits him perfectly. (Not that a more well-adjusted man would inflict Sakura on himself, if given choice.)

And on that note, most of the complaints about the story over the last few pages, from Naruto being compared to literally every story relevant character in existence, to Kurama getting turned into a power battery with zero agency, stems from the fact that "Naruto" is a story about narcissists written in a way that enables and justifies their self-absorbtion. The world literally warps to make Nardo either the most miserable orphan in existence or the most glorious inheritor to the mantle of its prince, depending on the current stage of his "rags-to-riches" story. Every Talk no Jutsu session is an excuse for Nurutu to talk about himself, and they succeed because all the relevant villains only exist to highlight his character.

Sasuke and even Sakura have similar effects, except lesser, given that they are satellites to the main character, caught by his superior Ego Gravity.

This story hooked me with its emotional scenes when I was younger and gobbled up all anime I could find. But after thinking on it later, I was not surprised at all by the rumors (also present in this thread) that IRL Kishimoto is a shithead.

I never thought about it too much but every talk no jutsu really is just a self fellating session. It even extends into Boruto. Except Boruto is now the one being dick sucked by everyone. Harry Potter didn't even have writing this narcissistic. Maybe that's why post time skip these Talk No Jutsus always felt so flat and forced. Sasuke and Gaara you could kind of force it. But Naruto and Nagato are nothing to each other. Same with Obito.

That's one of the main flaws of Shippuden. I feel like someone else has already mentioned this, but either way, one of the weaker points of Shippuden is how much it butters Naruto up. The whole Akatsuki plot was set up to make Naruto a "super special protagonist." Compare this to the og series where he was treated as a loser and underestimated by everyone and he himself had to prove his own worth. Shippuden Naruto is a lot less interesting in that regard. Instead of learning and mastering Jutsus on his own, he has Kakashi and Yamato to provide him special training. He's made out to be "so special" being the nine tailed fox's jinchuuriki and all that that it becomes grating. And it gets worse later on where he becomes the "chosen one". God I hate that trope so much.

I’m convinced his editors made Naruto and Shippuden palatable. It seems to me that he just always wanted to basically do an oc dragon ball z plz doughnut steel. Naruto being a little shit makes sense since he had no dad. That sort of behavior is just annoying with Boruto.

Early on I liked some of the fights where they were limited by the jutsu they knew and tried to use them creatively. As time went on that mattered less and less. He also just wouldn’t kill off some characters when they logically should have.

As a whole, Naruto is a self-victimizing faggot. He was treated like shit for his entire childhood and for plot reasons wants to protect the people who WILLFULLY goaded a pysological nucler time bomb.
His inital reasoning to becoming a Hokage so that, in his words "Everyone will like him". The writing was on the wall with that remark. The second part is after his major loss in the (not) Sasuke Rescue arc (Chapeter 237)

Even after the two year time skip, Naruto never showed any growth as a leader or tactics worthy of one, just more power.

I believe it must be restated, Uchiha's are the niggers of the ninja world and Sakura burned the coal, hence is damaged goods and ended up a single mother to nobody's surprise.

I'm just saying, if Naruto married Sakura, Boruto Two Blue Vortex's would have never happened because Sakura would've bitch slapped Kawaki the moment he tried to talk to her the way he talks to Naruto.

I feel like I wouldn’t hate Boruto if they didn’t abruptly try to shoehorn in “the next generation surpasses the previous”. No one comes close to Hashirama, Madara, or his brother. Naruto himself is hard carried by his tailed beast.

A sequel was never going to work very well. Should of done prequel stories to world build, like Zabuza’s attempted coup, the Kazekage getting killed by Sasori, Danzo’s descent into being a cunt, and maybe another countries perspective of the Leaf during the Third’s reign.

You can blame Shounen for that. They decided and settled on a Naruto sequel far before Naruto ever ended, probably during the middle of the war arc. Kaguya is only a thing because they wanted a lead in for Boruto villains.
 
Was Sakura more impressive than Naruto at the beginning of Shippuden? I've seen some people argue that without Kyuubi chakra, Sakura bodies Naruto in a one on one battle until he learnt Rasenshuriken. While Naruto certainly had a relatively weaker upgrade than the other two, I'm not sure if you can say that Sakura was stronger than him.

Meh. Naruto could do the same with Rasengan spam. Pt 2 Sakura is way stronger than her useless ass was in pt 1, but she's more support. Couldn't even 1v1 Sasori.
