Dumbest part about this is he didn't mention any alternative. Haven't seen any statement from him proclaiming a religion so far (if he has made one, I'll stand corrected), so I assume he's a deist, which is one step above being an atheist anyway. He also said that moral relativism is bad and that we need objective morality, but didn't say where it could come from other than his own arse. He can't be getting his morality from Christianity, since it's position on same sex relations is pretty clear, so I guess he just thinks that whatever he arbitrarily decides is the objective truth.

These edgy types shitting on Christians and Christian values most of the times, except when they need a moral high-ground, are ridiculous.
And to be fair there's plenty of congregations who accept gays. I would encourage Naked Ape to join: even if they can't pray away the gay, they might be able to do something about that manlet voice.
 
I think Naked Ape deleted this video, but somewhere around January he made a fairly long and rambling video where he started laying in on Kraut's discord server and Sargon's debates with Richard Spencer. Like everything Naked Ape has ever done it lacked any real substance and besides him reeeing about skeptics and making the same Liberalist ballpit jokes everyone at the time was making it was pretty boring. I believe it may have been featured on the Kumite, but that's about all I remember.

True, but I honestly just think that's dumb. You can't just arbitrarily pick and choose which parts of a religion that you want to accept and still claim that it's divine word. If you can rewrite the rules at will, you're basically admitting that it's just a social construct. Granted Naked Ape seemed to admit this, saying that the only reason he supports religion is that they have concrete moral standards even if they're based on nothing, but even then he would still be forced to acknowledge that objective morality doesn't exist and that the atheists are in fact right.

It was pretty bad. What makes it harder to go through than most is that I still haven't deciphered what he was even trying to say. The video is directed at the "skeptic community," but Naked Ape apparently lumps them in with Billy Nye's fanbase and radfem "globalist" activists, despite both of these being mocked by skeptics relentlessly. I think what he was trying to do is paint skeptics as less extreme versions of SJWs, on the basis that they don't accept his "race realism" and don't care about "white" identity, but stupidity of that mindset aside, accusing a group of people who have been highly critical of the establishment's hard on for mass immigration and of SJW politics in general of being "globalist cucks" as he did in that video just makes him look as if he has no idea what the fuck he's even talking about.

In my experience its cool in the far right now to identify as some esoteric sect of Christianity for two reasons.

  • The more esoteric it is the more different and cool you are
  • The more older esoteric ones give off the perception of being the most pure (for the purity spiral) and the least pozzed to them.
So they typically end up going with some random Protestant sect, some old catholic splinter thought group, or eastern orthodox. The issue here is most of them don't know anything beyond the fucking memes and some random copypasta screen caps. So a lot of them don't know that there is just as much corruption or pozz as there is with anything else in existence. Many of them don't know that the eastern orthodox church has just as many accusations of child abuse, and accusations of drug smuggling/money laundering.

But then most of them made a deep persona philosophical decision based on what amounts to a fucking green text story so what else is expected. They just like to worship symbols for the sake of it rather then understanding it.

I would think Nordic and Celtic neopaganists would be on the top of the stack. They're so pure and free from (((Near Eastern))) philosophical influence.

From what I've seen, some circles are very anti-pagan, others very anti-christian. I guess it depends on which side they fell on, once they decided atheism wasn't edgy enough.

EDIT: Just wanted to add this. I've seen on the fundie christian side of the far right, the argument that they should just pretend to like the pagans to own the libs until the coming of the ethnostate for better optics.

Yeah, these sorts are pretty fun to read about. There's what, the asatru revival movement, but the guys I named myself after basically go to the next step and instead of worshipping Thor and the rest of the Marvel characters gods, they worship surtr and the Giants, effectively making a neo-pagan Satanist movement, to oversimplify it and probably misrepresent them a bit.

Damn that's edgy. From my somewhat limited experience, Neopaganists fall into three groups; New Age hippie types, skinheads, and larping death metal nerds. My guess is they'd fall under the third category.

You would be correct. I'm sure I have read about some individuals who take their beliefs ultra seriously and have nothing to do with the extreme metal scene, but most of them (and any specific ones coming to mind) are involved in the music at least secondarily.

The big reason why people like Naked Ape "believe" in moral objectivism is because it gives them a license to dismiss contrary viewpoints without contest. After all, nobody can be more right than you if you're always right, therefore the opposing argument is always wrong.

The Catholic Church has a history of flip-flopping on their stance on science and the pursuit thereof by how popular it made them at the time. They reversed their support of astrology & the idea that the Earth revolved around the sun when Protestantism gained more popularity for being more puritanical.

Religion = politics.

Ironically, by the standards of most Christian denominations, this alone makes them atheists because they don't follow the bible to the letter.

Wouldn't anti-papalist Catholics be above regular Catholics? Historically, loyalty to a leader has been the reason that Catholics have been distrusted, and why the only Catholic US president ever had to take an oath that he would never let the pope influence his actions as president.

Since NA has renounced his atheism, I'm gonna assume he's a deist until informed otherwise.
