The whole "read an article and give a luke warm take" type of content has always been low tier trash. I can only assume that the audience of his channel and others like it such as The Quartering just want something to put on in the background while they iron their shirts? Only issue: He doesn't hate what the internet has become, he hates what Twitter has become. Twitter's algorithms have become far more conservative over the past two years of Musk's conservatorship (which is a reflection of the old Internet when put in contrast to the rest of the post-Tumblr, geek-acceptance, AIDS-spreading hellscape it has become) and he doesn't want any part of that. Just his cozy little reading nook on Discord and his money-printing soapbox on Youtube.

This isn't an issue with Current Year Internet, this is specifically an issue with the wampant wacism that Elon Musk has allowed on Twitter.

I used to put it on while I was making my morning coffee. But that was when he still occasionally did some interesting content instead of this gay drama shit. The tipping point was probably the first half of 2020. I went yesterday and scrolled all the way down to find his videos from 2019. About 30% of it was drama but the remaining 70% was good hearted fun, shitty .EXE games, deep web browsing, creepypastas, weird old flash games, virus investigations. That's the SOG that used to be my favorite youtube channel and I guess he's not coming back.
