I'm a little salty that one side of the blade has MADE IN CHINA printed on it but that's what I get for being a mall ninja and looking at the cheaper end of folding knives on Ebay. I still think it's awesome though, and it has a clip for carrying so I can advertise to the world that I'm a Bad Bitch (tm)

I might buy myself a machete of my own sometime in the future, my dad's machete is pretty messed up since he's had it since he was 14. So if any blade-enthusiast Kiwis have suggestions on a good brand, preferably U.S. made, I'm all ears!

I don't have experience with this, but couldn't you paint over the "Made in China with some matching metallic paint? It could be an option if it's just going to be decor, but the paint would likely fade away if you're using it.

OTG cables to add USB storage to my collection of modded mini consoles. Can't fit hundreds of disc images on the paltry 16GB of internal storage the Playstation Classic comes with... (Yes, I know you can just install RetroPie on a Raspberry Pi and have all your games on one system. I've done that, but I find RetroArch to be an enormous pain in the ass on devices with ARM processors. Like, rolling back your save files whenever a game crashes? What the fuck? When I save a game, I want the data to be fucking SAVED, not temporarily stored in RAM and then deleted when the next crash occurs or the power goes out.)

Was able to play Ps1 games on a PSP I did mod one time. Was able to install homebrew channel on my Wii, but gave up. Got too complicated for my young brain.
But for sure, it's fun to mod consoles.

I got my PSP expecting to be able to install custom firmware, and was furious when I realized it came with the latest official firmware (which prevented the installation of CFW), and cut up my battery with a steak knife to make a Pandora battery the first night I had it. Installed CFW, scribbled the severed connection on the battery back in with a pencil, and it worked because graphite conducts electricity. Good times.

Gerber machete's are ehhh

Get El Chete. It is the best machete and the blade holds an edge so well they're good for bushcraft in the desert and in bamboo. The sites list them at $300 but you can find them for under $150 used from people who don't know how to sharpen shit. Plus, they're actually excellent for use as a cooking knife. I use mine as a butcher's knife and a santoku knife for shit thats bigger than my normal santoku

Also, the vast majority of benchmade's blades are chinese steel now. Which isn't that bad to be honest. MTech's are super strong, they just need to be reshaped out of the box normally, which only takes a few minutes with a good spyderco grinder set

Also the best pocket knives right now are Spyderco and Al Mars

A full set of mini race track marshalling flags, so I can flap them like a retard when I go and watch actual white trash motorsport. I even bought them at the shop at my small local track so they get all the profit. They don’t buy them in from China, one of their staff knocks them out during the winter when the racing season is over for the year.

*flap flap flap flap flap*

For a general purpose knife, my go to is a Mora Companion. Made in Sweden out of good steel and well under $20 so if you lose or destroy it somehow, replacing it is easy (or you can do like me and have a few of them in different colors just kicking around). For a pocket carry, I just use a Gerber EAB Lite, which is also under $20 and uses utility knife blades so you never need to care if you fuck the blade up.

I have fancier stuff, but I like these for general use.

For a machete, I just have a Gerber - it needed some work on the edge out of the box, but seems to do the job.

That would be infinitely less autistic if this weren't 2021, but your dedication to retro hardware is commendable.
Yeah I got handed down the console from my siblings so they didn’t get the classics like Kirby or Mario Party so I’m trying to fill in the gaps. Thankfully we have Mario Golf, F Zero, Star Fox and the Pokémon Stadium games so at least I don’t have to worry about those. Weirdest part was that they had Japanese import games and Atari 2600 games

That's a good start. You might want to consider getting an N64 flash cart if you can't afford the retarded expensive prices genuine retro games can go for these days. Don't forget all your paks: rumble, memory, and expansion.

They gave me those as well but not a flash cart. I just remembered that they gave me DK64 so I’m glad I don’t have to spend money on that

Nice. That means you can play Majora's Mask without being blocked out of the title screen by an error message. In case you don't know, a flash cart is basically an SD card converter for retro game systems. You download the full library of games (or just the ones you want) and keep them stored on one cartridge, so you can play them on real hardware instead of needing to use an emulator.

Where would I get one?

Amazon, ebay, etc. They're a little pricier than I realized (an N64 Everdrive flash cart is $150-$250) but that's still probably cheaper than buying each game separately and hoping it works. Also, a flash cart is made with new hardware, so its lifespan will be longer than that of official cartridges. It does reduce the feeling of authenticity that comes from playing an official cartridge, but eventually all retro games will expire and only be playable in the form of flash carts and/or emulation. So, I guess it's a cost-benefit analysis. If you're happy with a collection of a handful of the best N64 games, it might not be worth it to buy an expensive flash cart. If you want ALL the games, however...
