Having a reboot so soon was not a good idea at all, made worse by essentially being a sequel to MK11 and the story since MK9. How silly of me to actually have hope on MK11 actually really continuing the story in a new, interesting way like MKX tried to do something new with "twenty-five years later."

I think "my" MK lore in my heart is:
-MK1-4 with all the best-case scenarios for the good guys within both timelines' versions of them (no heroes become revenants, Shao and Shang die, Shinnok imprisoned in the jinsei)
-Deception to throw in Onaga (no MKDA cause the DA's dead or MIA at the time, but you can have the Cyrax/Nitara/Reptile subplot kick off Onaga's return)
-MKX (but with everyone alive) and MK11 (except Liu won 2/0 like he should have) on schedule and an implied happy ending for the realms with "Kombat" finally done with. I always actually liked pre-MKDA for all its gore and dark aesthetic, the good guys actually kicked ass pretty handedly in the lore. It was inspiring and I'd like "my" MK to end on a note like that.
Unrelated: very pointlessly, I always head-canoned Sektor and Cyrax as respectively having fire and elemental powers based mostly on their colors, the other Lin Kuei wearing stereotypical colors to their elements (Sub-Zero bros and Frost in blue with ice, Smoke in gray with, uh, smoke, even Hydro being light blue and water-based), and buttressed by Sektor's flamethrower special and Cyrax's net being an "electro-net" in EX form. Paying close attention to MK12 Sektor having the flamethrower again alongside fire-based repulsor blasts and Cyrax's teleport/bombs giving off (green but hey...) electric sparks gives me a "good enough" justification so I'm satisfied. Human Sektor disappearing in flame for his TP Uppercut and flamethrower being a natural effect thrown from his palms while Human Cyrax's net is a burst of electricity surrounding the enemy, teleport seeing his limbs split into bolts before reforming, or his "bombs" being ball-electricity - that is a thing - before exploding is how I'd see their powers work.
An entire clan of elemental ninjas is and will always be cool concept, shush.

The damage has been done, friend. Warner Cucks is doubling down further into retarded tactics to get their lost moolah back from the flop of Sweet Baby Suicide Squad, and even discontinuing Onslaught in October because they cannot make money from mobile games like it, and it was the only new NRS era game that has a comprehensive and decent story. MK Mobile is not going to regain those lost cash too. They have shitty graphics, except MK Onslaught's shutdown was similar to Princess Connect Global's shutdown, but MK instead of anime lolis. No matter how hard they are trying with Boon, the actual fans has fully alienated from their bullshit microtransaction schemes. If they really want to make MK1 profitable, then just listen to your fans, but the Warner Kikes and NRS Kikes would not care about their opinions, including Boon. While I'm not as offended at some of the SJW shit in 11 (still not sure why they couldn't have put 1 on previous gen systems, it's not like the graphics are better so much better, and it's probably a big part of the reason that game is "dead") as others (I've mentioned before that I think Jax ending could just as easily be taken as one of the 90s "dark" endings if they just ended it with a "HAVE A NICE DAY") It's a shame any of it has to be there at all. Unsurprisingly, even no matter how much Boon tries so hard to resurrect MK, it was beyond repair at this point. The only true and honest MK fans are the one that grew up with it and live with the 2D and 3D era, even Tits Kombat 9. They are the few last stronghold for childhood MK fans. Rate me MATI, but it is a balance between MKfags embracing African girlboss Cyrax, and some hates the idea and see how unnecessary this genderbend bullshit is. Also, there are retards still defending NRS' idea of girlbossing Cyrax and Sektor, and worse, Fujin might be on the list of getting girlbossed. The MK fanbase in general wants Fujin and Nightwolf girlbosses, and that really says about the newfags here. The original Cyrax and Sektor cannot take any rest at all, it is slowly devolving into Girlboss Kombat by Boon and NRS by simply being morally and creatively bankrupt.
