Because they want to set precedent that trans women can't be excluded from women only services. And also, they need Yaniv to have a win so that it becomes it was only because JY did X that he lost. Not because trans "women" aren't really women. I would not be surprised at all if the whole Ogre feud is a ruse and that behind the scenes Ogre is coaching JY on how to bring a successful claim. Why else would he pick exactly the same kind of targets and only go for the leg wax vs. the bikini wax? JY (possibly in cahoots with Ogre) is trying to get the kangaroo court to inch us closer to being forced to touch the troon dick.

And also JY needs some cash to pay off his fines. I hope that JY is forced to pay those off before he can sue someone else.

If the event goes ahead as planned, trans activist and organizer Morgane Oger said she will pursue her own legal action in the form of a Charter case against the city, which she argued has a duty to prevent the spread of discriminatory views at its venues and meeting places

"Yes, I have a right as a human being to say whatever I want and to think whatever I want, but I don't necessarily have the right to be hosted or enabled by the government to do that," Oger said.

Trans women are part of a vulnerable population, Oger added, and the idea of forcing them to use separate bathrooms and services is comparable to racial segregation.

She argued the VPL wouldn't have any problem rejecting an event where speakers advocated for pushing a different minority group out of shared women's spaces.

"They would never allow it, but they allow this," Oger said. "I think that's appalling."

Murphy told CTV News she believes trans women, who she describes as "males," need to be protected from discrimination, but not if their rights impede those of cisgender women. Oger argued the concept simply doesn't make sense.

"That is a hierarchy, and she is not entitled to a hierarchy. Women's rights don't come before racial rights, they don't come before religious rights," Oger said.

Dudes pretending to be women who arent allowed to publically practice their AGP fetish are just as oppressed as the ancestors of slaves who were denied access to common public places such as schools and buses and public bathrooms. Troons can still go into their assigned genders toilet at the very least.

Also as we learnt from Johnathan Yanivs trials being a women isnt oppressed enough to have the cases thrown out it was only once people found out they were coloured minorities who wouldnt do it on religious grounds they started to cause a stink.

Slight powerlevel: I'm friends with several formerly successful writers who have been blacklisted from books, magazines, and movies because they won't say the magic words, "Transwomen are women." It's for this reason that I like to think JY is an undercover agent for the Canuckian government.

Since troons are violent narcissists who know how to game the system, to the point of getting rape centers shut down, the Canadian government has to exercise caution when dealing with them (just like biological women who must cohabit private spaces with troons, or else be lynched). So let's have the public demand justice first, to avoid high-powered """"cis"""" politicians destroying their careers.

What better way to gain public support to make these perverts taboo again than to tick all the boxes? Maybe not in Canuckistan, but I’m pretty sure in most of the civilized world sex-based rights do in fact trump religious rights, especially when religious practices are harmful and dangerous. I guess Oger learned nothing from that African FGM survivor he was stalking last year.

What’s even more hilarious is that by Oger’s own argument, his BCHRT lolsuit against Whalcott should’ve failed; if Oger is woman, and women’s rights are lower on the oppression ladder than religious rights (Whalcott’s defense) then surely Bill would’ve triumphed.

Jesus, just reading that quote it’s astonishing Ronan could say something so incredibly stupid and that he could get away with it. I have a feeling his days of running for office are effectively over since he isn't a VP in the NDP anymore.

I realized the other day that oger is so ass blasted by yaniv's filings because it makes his own BCHRT "victory" look hollow. I mean, we all know it is, but he didn't.

y'know, the way he dealt with the mistake of encouraging theh BCHRT complaint (pretending he was against yaniv all along, never admitting any fault or poor judgment) might have been the reason he lost the nomination, rather than yaniv himself. Most politicians accumulate some sort of dirt over time from having to make tough decisions, and try to stay afloat financially... but ronan sullied his reputation with an internationally deplored pedo before even winning so much as a local school board election. That is just amazing. Sometimes the universe practically shouts at people that they should try something else with their lives, but he is too narcissistic to listen.
