I have no idea how any politicians can sit down next down next to this hot mess in parliament and not only listen to what it has to say but also put into law their ideas.

What exactly is "misgendering" in this case? That person was called a man on flyers as a form of joke and that was ruled as illegal. Think about that what ye want. But nowhere it was said that it is illegal to accidentally mistake somebody for the wrong gender.

I reaaaallly hope jordan peterson catches wind of this, or that whatcott tries to be a refugee in the USA, or something happens. This court makes a mockery of the legal system even compared to the UK.

it was not a joke. It is whatcott's personal religious belief that human beings cannot change their sex, and stated so on his flyer. You aren't allowed to disagree, even on religious grounds, with a trans person's self identification. You aren't allowed to think that a specific person is lying about their trans identification, even if they run around sporting a beard and a boner with no intention to transition.

Meghan Murphy is next. Just watch.

For those asking, this ruling does not apply to cis people. The tribunal members specifically said how misgendering would not be an affront to the dignity of biological women because they haven't historically been oppressed on the basis of "being perceived to be lying about their gender identity". The tribunal is full of morons who aren't even judges, just super woke attorneys, who apparently took few history classes.

whatcott's attorneys tried to do that and were told they could not, at every single turn. Whatcott is a fucking registered nurse BTW, so he is more of an expert on that than anyone else who was a witness at the tribunal.

You are assuming that history books will even be a thing. There is already a marked decrease in teaching kids history in favour of woke politics and "ethics".

You can be certain they will either restrict historical books or put out revised editions. They have already done so with classical literature which dares to use the word "nigger" in its writing. History has shown time and time again how the powers that be will go out to destroy "heretical" historical accounts, whether it be the Qin dynasty, the library of Alexandria, the dark ages, Spanish inquisition, Nazi book burning, or the tearing down of confederate statues today.

in most tribnunal cases where there are competing oppressions, both parties are found guilty of oppressing each other ( :story:), but then the monetary damages offset each other to some extent based on who is wronger in the eyes of the tribunal. In this case, religious oppression & freedom of speech weren't considered a human rights problem to compete with trannyism.
 
It doesn’t matter what the law says. You can force people to call you ma’am but that won’t change the fact that to them you’re just a dude in dress. You can’t change human biology. The trans dude in Supergirl is probably the closest a man can get to looking like a woman, and I still knew something was wrong the moment I saw him.
 
I’ve said this in a few other threads but it bears repeating

They can have all the laws they want.
They can have all the paperwork they want.
They can have all the surgery they want.

It will never change what you are. I can also guarantee that one day this joke of a court will start hearing cases for and ruling in favour or “trans species”.

In the US, hate speech is not protected under freedom of speech laws; however, misgendering someone is not hate speech (...yet), but calling someone a "tranny" is.

Edit: No, it's not. I was mixing it up with something else. Please continue to keep freedom of speeching, Americans!

Well-known trans advocate Morgane Oger filed the complaint against Christian activist Bill Whatcott after he distributed flyers disparaging her for being a trans woman.
The case focused on flyers distributed to residents of the Vancouver-False Creek riding in 2017 when trans-rights activist Morgane Oger was running for office with the B.C. NDP.

The 104-page ruling, which goes into detail about the types of discrimination trans people face, is a win for trans rights in B.C. and across the country, said Susanna Allevato Quail, Oger’s lawyer.
“This decision is really a landmark decision in establishing the scope of protections under the human-rights code for transgender people,” she said.
“It is not a legitimate subject of public debate, whether or not it’s OK to be transgender or whether transgender people are real.”
Whatcott’s lawyer could not be immediately reached for comment.
The flyers Whatcott distributed described Oger as a “biological male” and a “transvestite.” They were distributed to residents of the Vancouver-False Creek riding in 2017 when Oger was running for office with the B.C. NDP.
Oger filed a human-rights complaint, alleging the flyers were discriminatory and hateful and targeted her identity as a trans woman. Whatcott denied the allegations, asserting that his freedom of speech and religion entitled him to publish his views on Oger.
In the ruling, distributed to lawyers on Wednesday, the tribunal judge ordered Whatcott to pay Oger $35,000 in compensation for injury to her dignity, feelings and self-respect. Whatcott was also ordered to pay Oger an additional $20,000 for his improper conduct during and before the hearings.
“(It) is really so encouraging ... to have the tribunal say you know you can’t argue that you are just commenting on a legitimate public issue because this is not a public issue. There is no debate about whether people are or should be transgender,” said Quail.

Yeah, maple syrup is totally overrated. Also they only contribute 6% of the world's crude oil and like 10% of global forestry products. No big loss; also if they stop cutting down Canada's forests then the whole country can be an O2 sink for the rest of the planet. Give Canada back to the First Nations tribes. That was my point. Yesterday morning I'd have disagreed with you, but this nutbag has completely changed my mind. I'll misgender him until the end of time because he is completely unhinged and undeserving of any sort of respect.
