Finished high rank with basic low rank gear, the Rathian / Gyp Hunting Horns, both un-upgraded, no cat, and no Seikret saves. I am about "average" skill. The end game is better. I did a few tempered hunts after, and things still die pretty quickly, but with my gear I'm getting chunked for over half my HP, or one shot when I do get hit by tempered 6 star monsters.

Lotta niggers just being mad for the sake of it. Very funny.
I'm gonna respectfully disagree, if it wasn't for performance and the babysitting in LR, I think there would be way less negativity.

The game is quite solid, especially once you hit HR. The roster is very good, alot of the weapons do feel better (Perfect Guard and Power Clash on Charge Blade makes me want to actually engage in guard points instead of my usual retard playstyle of spamming pizza cutter), the difficulty kicks back in later (the monsters feel like they need more health though) etc.

Yeah but Nata is just particularly annoying and preachy about it, and it comes at literally the worst possible time. World was pretty retarded about it too, trying to imply Niggergante would have kept everything in line if it weren't for us.

Lol, never. If she was in wilds story, i would hate her even more for giving her more screen time.
I can't disagree more. We got a worse version of her in Wilds, which is Alma. I'd rather take 100 more hours with Worlds' Handler than a Starbucks Barista who follows me around everywhere. With all her flaws the Handler never prevented me from hunting.

At least she stayed home every hunt, and you could use the quest board to circumvent her. I might like Alma's looks and personality more, but she trailing my Hunter all the time is just annoying.

Looking forward to your Alma cope and apologia in the year 2034 with Monster Hunter Pioneer. "Alma was cute with her frumpy coat and glasses, and she always said nice things while picking parashrooms for me!" as you lament an overweight sheboon handler that only processes your guild mission paperwork late.

I'm still in two minds about a voiced protagonist. The female voice I have doesn't put in a bad performance by any means, but it's kinda distracting how talkative she gets at times.

With about 30h I can say I don't think this installment has nerfed monsters or that they're any easier than any other installment. I think the real problem is focus mode. The monsters being LR means you can just tank the hits while just aiming your hits at vitals regardless of positioning.

I pointed this out earlier too, the fact you can have such high accuracy in attacks with focus mode aiming it nerfs monsters inherently. You significantly increase damage by not missing. Add wounds that cause constant flinching and knock downs it's just too much. The older games rewarded accuracy through skill, focus mode just gives it for free. It messes with what made MH different than other action combat games, commitment and positioning. I would suggest being in focus mode should aggressively drain stamina, no wound flinching when monsters are enraged, and they should increase Monster HP too.

And it's fucking annoying to play with too, not even fun. Can't aim and attack at the same time so you get into these weird half-assed rearrangements, but they're better than not using focus mode so you basically have to. I can't even tell why bursting wounds sometimes knocks them down and sometimes doesn't. There's no knockout or tail cut KOing. Sometimes it's up, sometimes it's down.

Oh, and I've been unlocking palico skills. Cool and all, seeing it fly around in a tiny zeppelin shooting guns and shit. If only... there was some kind of.. palico skill builder. Or personality. Or role. And if you could go hunting with two instead of companions. Surely a previous game must've done that, hmmmmmmm? God I miss the pet play of Rise.

I also just realized there's ZERO decos for ranged. Maybe I haven't seen any yet but jesus, from the World system of reducing recoil and what not to this dogshit which his just.. infinite spread/pierce ammo and no decos to reduce recoil or improve bullets per pull..

I’ll add my thoughts on the game itself after I’ve reached endgame but, regarding performance, it’s pretty sad that some schmuck on the internet found a fix like https://www.nexusmods.com/monsterhunterwilds/mods/127 - which gave me (and plenty of others) a noticeable boost in fps amount/stability - in the first week of release. As much as we shit on bad western dev code at least they have the excuse of DEI hires, I expect a better product from high IQ japs! IMG_0519.jpeg
Also some real stanky EN VA, I can’t imagine not playing w/ the JP VA w/o going insane.
