There's so many games plus the Mila Jovovich film and even Marvel vs Capcom including a monster hunter girl in it. Can be overwhelming. Overall, which game is the favorite? How is the switch spinoff? I saw they have a 2-in-1.

I think Generations Ultimate is probably my favourite in terms of older style Monster Hunters, with the newer ones, Rise + Sunbreak is one I enjoyed significantly more than World, especially once Sunbreak dropped. There's so many games plus the Mila Jovovich film and even Marvel vs Capcom including a monster hunter girl in it. Monster Hunter Stories 1 is pretty serviceable as a spinoff. Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, in my opinion, is better in almost every way, as a sequel should be.How is the switch spinoff? I saw they have a 2-in-1.
Capcom is out of their fucking MINDS if they think I'll give them $70 for anything. I wouldn't piss on a Capcom exec if he was on fire and I hadn't seen a bathroom in 16 hours.
I absolutely adore the spin off games, Wings of Ruin is still one of my favourites, i'm waiting for it to drop below $40 on steam to pick it up again. Being able to have nergi eggs was so much fun.Monster Hunter Stories 1 is pretty serviceable as a spinoff. The story is a bit childish in both games but I really enjoyed collecting and raising monsters, as well as minmaxing the shit out of them, it gave me a feeling that Pokemon used to give me before it became a zombie franchise.
My avatar is one of the bugs I captured during the launch of WH3. I have been playing Total War for over 20 years now, so I have been there at all the low points. I think a big reason CA doesn't get called out often is their monopolistic position, catering to a specific niche. And the fans really suffer from Stockholm syndrome.Even though you have the TW:WH avatar I'm still surprised to see someone name that fucking company. Mostly because I never hear about them outside of purely TW related spaces.
Oof, I can see a ton of normies just dropping it then and there. I tried to get a buddy into the series with Rise. He solo played on his cracked Switch, got credits and went "this is fine" and never touched it again (I did the same with DMC 5 to be honest, finsihed, went "I'm good" and I'm very aware there is a lot of game left to explore but never clicked enough with it to do it).I just finished the main story and hit the credits, unlike world it seems the story ends in low rank and the game "starts" in high rank (letting you actually play without the NPCs talking shit every other quest), last boss is a xeno jiva ripoff, took me 12 hours taking it slow.
The same scenario is slowly happening here with Capcom and Monster Hunter, the amount of people defending the poor performance and excessive babying of the player is legitimate insanity. My avatar is one of the bugs I captured during the launch of WH3. Playing in Low/High/G rank? I hope you were playing Low Rank, even though I know it's almost guranteed that you were playing at least High Rank. I got a pretty bad taste in my mouth after Rise already, which was easy as piss, and I'm not happy to hear that the game is just leaving its niche even more and going for mass appeal. I never thought I'd miss the days of getting bodied by a fucking Blangonga threesome.Fuck it, I'm gonna request a refund even though I've played nine hours. This is genuinely the worst monster hunter game I've ever played. It is insultingly easy. You don't even have to try. The new monsters are so cool looking but I don't even get to enjoy their fights because they die within minutes. It gets even worse in multiplayer too. I think they genuinely didn't scale the monster HP at all. I fought the lightning dragon with my friends online and we literally killed him in 4 minutes. He didn't even have the chance to run away. This is supposed to be a super badass apex predator too. Just pathetic.

He never got that invested, but it's still so incredibly early in the game to just tap out and I can see a ton of people thinking "oh, I got credits, anything after this is some tryhard shit anyway, pass" which is NOTHING if it's just low rank.
I swear, the DLC sales are going to have a huge drop off.
Allegedly this has three layers of DRMCrapcom needs to accept that their RE Engine is fucking dogshit at rendering anything larger than the inside of a Fotomat.
RE Engine is going away as they have an upgraded version in the works, but who knows if they actually fixed any of the issues it has with open world games.Crapcom needs to accept that their RE Engine is fucking dogshit at rendering anything larger than the inside of a Fotomat.
Turns out there are climate effects, and hot/cold drinks return. No strong feelings about it either way. Oil basin is kind of cool as an environment.Just got done doing the Rompomplo

It's Low Rank/Villiage quests, as is the 'story' in every MH game. A lot of the people complaining about how easy it is clearly never went back in world or something in beginner gear and seen the massive difference player experience makes in how fast things die. A lot of skill can be transfered over from World to Wilds so the starting progression is going to be blitzed through by a lot of people. You can't touch higher difficulty stuff until you beat the story which is about 10-12 hours if you rush through and just stick with a cozy set and upgrade it with spheres, although if he was only at Rey Dau after 9 hours he was clearly taking his time since that's not even past Act 1.Playing in Low/High/G rank? Better in terms of difficulty? no, not really.Does the game get better at all once you reach High Rank? I'm aware that's when the story ends, but does the difficulty ramp up? Or is it still babby-mode?
They are but it's still annoying as fuckWait, the cutscenes are not skippable?
Wait, the cutscenes are not skippable?without having to watch a 15 min cutscene about a jeet kid after every hunt
