Yeah but don't say it too loud, they'll get some faggot in here reeeing at you for not consooming.
Well, I dug up the link I originally found it on, but it was 404'd, likely struck by crapcum, but I found someone posting it again and saved it this time.

I don't want to say this definitively, since I haven't found the source of this to verify it 100%, but the person who I found it from this time said the person is in low rank armor, yet taking less than a quarter from this endgame monster every attack.
This is far, far worse than the Defender armor. Also that "grant us eyes" motherfucker is endgame? Lol.

Just as I guessed, it’s pure niggerdiarrhea, made to scroll instagram while playing. He’s not even using the focus ability which makes it even easier lol

Probably still gonna get it i am pretty sure this is the only game that was coming out this year that i was looking forward to my only gripes/worries are how difficulty, time to completion, and post launch support are going to end up playing out speaking of seregios, lagiacrus ,zinogre are what is rumored to come along with mizutsune or are at least whats next before the summer update.
Considering very few games are even worth buying anymore, I still don't see the big deal with buying one of these big deal games every now and then. I recall every ps2 game being like $80 or more, whereas today even AAA releases aren't always $60. It's also odd how, especially with franchises that get very few games, people are so opposed to new entries. "I may've owned all previous 9 games but THIS one I won't be buying!!!!".

I won't have a day off for like 4 days after its release, but I honestly don't even think I'll sit down and play it for even 3 hours in a row. I almost fear having to make a hunter, knowing it pays fucking money to redo it.

Bro what the fuck is this. Imagine 4 hunters beating on this fetus. It looks like the intentionally mundane phase 1 of a cinematic 3-stage fight. What the fuck.

World was the first MonHun I properly sunk time into and it did take me a while to go through the "base game" where you suddenly need the updates to keep you invested, I triple carted more than a few times getting my bearings. In risebreak where I already knew what I was doing and got the whole game with all of the updates, the "base game" I pretty much finished very briskly, you didn't really need to kill monsters more than once or twice to be able to forge a new piece of equipment at that rate and you didn't need a new set per monster, far from it outside of the Apex which were doing real damage and the only time I triple carted proper out of underestimating some of the insane spikes of damage Apex Mitzu and apex Zinogre could dump (then I noticed they gave nothing interesting to craft and just went to GRank).

I can only imagine how quickly I would run out of "things to do" had I gotten Rise on day 1 and me not particularly caring about making every set. From what I'm hearing, Wilds is easier AND has less monsters than base Rise with update monsters coming at a lower rate. I just don't see how this will keep anybody invested beyond rolling credits. Your normie will be done by that point and be content, and your veteran of the series will instantly get bored from beating everything silly.

If I ever get this, it's definitely with all the bells and whistles attached and once all of the people have sperged about it in length.

On the other hand, MHGU is ready to play, I just need to add the texture and 60fps mods.

Question for MHGU veterans, I intend to go Switch ax since I've never properly mained it and chose the aerial style on a whim. Is this going to make my life very difficult or is it as good a start as anything?

Aerial style is just fun in general and goes good with most weapons. People don't shut the fuck up about aerial Great Sword, but it is understandable. You'll get mounts a lot faster for knock down opportunities. Never touched the Switch Axe in my life, but one of my friends I hunt with loves it.

Saxe main for just under 15 years here. Obviously, every style is going to have a bit of an X factor based on how that style matches up against specific monsters, and there's also personal preference for a playstyle to consider, but saxe is one of the few weapons that doesn't have any outright busted or unusable styles.

Striker is probably the best in solo play, at least once you're far enough in to unlock the switch axe's unique arts, because it has some really good ones and striker gives you 3 slots for them and charges them faster. Despite it being the overall best, it's my least favorite to use, as the exchange is that it disables a lot of your best damaging combos, requiring you to play pretty differently when you're unloading.

Aerial probably gets 2nd place after striker, which is a bit of an oddity for single art styles, and I'd tend to rate most weapons aerial style as one of their worst. Saxe gets around this by having fantastic aerial vaults and attacks, as well as not losing anything major in the moveset in exchange. With saxe being the slowest weapon (that doesn't have a guard), don't discount the mobility that jumping over a monster to evade an attack can bring. Saxe also has phenomenal damage over time (compared to something like a greatsword which will do more damage in short bursts, like letting off a charged attack), so it can really make use of mounts in a way other weapons can't solo. Aside from only having one art, the big negative is that it can kind of become a bit of a crutch, and if you become too reliant on the style, it can impact your overall skill.

Alchemy is another one you generally don't see this high for solo play, but the fact it's a triple art style and has ways to charge your arts faster is enough to put it in 3rd for a weapon with as fantastic of arts as saxe has. It really shines the best in multiplayer, but don't discount the fact you almost have a pseudo hunting horn in your pocket you can pull out and shake whenever you need a bit of a boost. It has two sources of healing over time, alchemy immunizers, which can be made from your barrel with 2 shakes, and red (and purple) SP mode, which sounds like a cautious and defensive strategy, but in practice can help you stay far more aggressive, not needing to stop and use an item to heal every other hit.

Valor is another placement that's odd for saxe, but this time, it's because for over half the weapons in the game, it's 1st place by a considerable lead. Biggest issues are that it only has 1 art, and while you're an absolute monster when valor mode is active, saxe definitely suffers more than some weapons when it's not. If you can time a valor mode to coincide with a demon riot level 3 art, you can put out some truly absurd damage. It's not that the style isn't good, it's just saxe is trading off far more than a lot of other weapons might with the style.

Guild is pretty simple. You're playing 4U switch axe, but with 2 hunter arts. Not much to say, it's the solid "vanilla" switch axe experience, but you can also pull off the energy charge/demon riot combo, which while nerfed in XX/GU compared to X/Gen, is still fantastic. Unless you specifically want an experience closer to classic though, there's not much reason to pick it over striker or alchemy.

Adept is an odd one, since while I'm putting it at the bottom, I'm actually using it right now for its fantastic matchup vs silverwind nargacuga. Single art styles will always suffer with switch axe, that's just a fact of the game, but considering switch axe has no guard, there goes half the potential upside you even get from the style. The attacks at the end of the saxe's adept dodges do pretty good damage, but they last really long, can't be cancelled out of aside from doing said attacks, and leave you vulnerable, especially in cases of multiple monsters, multihit attacks, and combos. Out of the 84 styles in the game, it's far from being at the bottom, it's just the bottom of switch axe.

This game is anti-FOMO. I don't care if I miss out on this one. Played World on PC, liked it, minimal problems despite my potato and the CPU/Denuvo boogieman and specific fixes for high CPU usage before they fixed it on their end. Played Rise/Sunbreak on Switch and double-dipped on PC for 60 fps+, ran great. Wilds benchmark/beta, ran like hot ass, looked like hot ass, lowest settings, everything is brown. Hardly anyone can actually run it at the highest settings, and footage I see at the highest settings still looks like ass and can't reach a consistent 60+ without frame gen. On RTX 4000 series GPUs. The current era of games that run like ass and don't even look good is grim. And I was fine playing the 30 fps locked iterations of Monster Hunter on Console/PSP/3DS. (MH4 on 3DS was kind of weird because it was unlocked but only got above 40+ in specific conditions) Wilds can't even manage 30 fps on the lowest settings on my current computer. While I played through World at 50-60 on average even before they fixed the initial PC port issues. And Rise easily ran at higher settings at 100+ fps.

Denuov literally takes off 2 digits of your frames. It happens in all games that use it. People wouldn't care if the dogshit anti-cheat didn't demand so much power. I loved how Rise looked; simple, permanent 120 frames, simple. World was too dense and ran like shit, yet I played it all the same.

What we're facing now with Wilds isn't just the next iteration of dense, it's the complete culling of "turn off the excess and max textures/shadows" culture. Fake frames, AI scaling, all to get 30 fps on medium 1080p.

Nah, I think it still outperforms worlds, and while it will have some drop from the casual fans, they will be coming back again and again, and this game will have legs.
First week sales will definitely be better than Worlds.

If nobody can run the game though, I can’t imagine legs will be as good.

For Steam release I expect the same thing that happened on World's release. It's going to be review bombed for performance and DRM. I see a lot of people doing revisionism on World's PC launch on other forums. I was a garbage launch, I expect nothing less.

It doesn't help that there's cocksucking, sweeping content creators toting the built-in frame gen and Lossless Scaling as some sort of fix for this shit performance. Like my guy, you aren't making it perform any better, you're just making it less painful on your eyes, but you're still playing at 30 fps. Going from 60 fps to 30 fps in terms of control responsiveness is torture. I can take Lossless Scaling and play Super Mario 64 at 60 fps without using a 60 fps code/mod/hack. But it's not making it any more responsive, it's just making it smoother in motion. And that's the future of modern gaming right now. 30 fps with framegen is potentially even worse than 30 fps without framegen because the framegen itself has an unavoidable frame of latency as it has to compute the interpolated frame to shove between your actual frames.

I'm ok with being able to fry an egg on my PC if I have absolutely stunning photo realistic graphics that also hits 60 fps.

I'm not ok with my PC being taxed that hard so I can play something that looks as basic bitch as this at 25-30 fps.

Why is this so hard for devniggers to understand?

World Babies don't give 2 shits about the integrity of the aesthetic of the series. The Palico companion could be thrown out tomorrow and they wouldn't complain, probably defend it too.
The hub and canteen should have been in the game day one. I have a feeling that this game has a lot of scope creep and they rushed the game, or the devs got a huge earful from their Japanese player base to make them give a fuck.

This is really bad, if you tried the beta you noticed how taxing being around other players was on the CPU and by default you can see other players if you're on the base camp (combine this with a high density of NPCs and it's hell), there's a reason why they didn't put other players in Astera or Seliana in world and that was running on an arguably better engine.
Crashing in full lobbies is going to be pretty common, calling it now, not to mention 13/14th gen intel CPUs getting raped, hopefully not many people have those.
