I did try some Bloodlust builds with the Gore Magala set... but I was failing to beat the virus so I ended up gravitating to a safer set of skills, so for the most part I'm avoiding all of the self wound setups.
If you worry about roar, defiance skill can help, lv3 should be enough to cover the roar or just lv1 if you know about the roar.
Mixing Amatsu, Risen Sharagu and bit of Risen Kushala is like the end goal armor set. It's all those skill combination together, like for Gunlance you probably can reverse blast dash into full burst 3-4 times will clear frenzy effect easily. But that is because of fast recharge wirebug from both wirebug whisperer (Lv3) and wind mantle (Lv1 is good enough) from Risen Kushala helm alone. Cooldown wirebug will be fast for constant reverse blast dash. You can have a reference of this guy mix armor build with few guard+guard up. It's just a build based on Caoslayer (gunlance specialist) anyway,
Technically, reverse blast into full burst on repeat. Evade extender can/should be slot for better dodge.

If you find kinsect glaive is easier to build for, then go for it.

Thanks for the intel. And is there no love for the Primordial Malzeno set? I like the concept of breaking and lifesteal that also buffs me. Kinsekt Glaive is certainly the easiest to use for me lately. I do want to give another pass to Lance, Gunlance and Hammer since I've left them sidelined for a while though it's more of a keep things fresh sort of prospect.

Necroing thread because news.
Two monsters in video are Doshaguma, the fanged beast bear like and Chatacabra.

Some stuffs from the Wilds website.
Seikret, basically is the new Palamute and allows you to bring second weapon on the hunt. I guess weapon quick swap during the fight rather than going back to camp now.

Gunner shooting while riding.

Focus mode for easier aiming weakspot and even using new weapon moveset. I guess this is to help with more accurate new clutch claw, now is called Hook Slinger.

Story related characters. Handler Alma, Smithy Gemma and mysterious young boy Nata.

Edit:
I get why the kid gets people confused, Capcom kinda tip toeing androgynous NPC boy a little bit.
From MHGU, Hymel and that one Handler boy concept art

Usually in story, they would have a Wyverian NPC to help through out and research about monster problems, instead of a typical human boy.
I'm already dreading the whole "slow walking sequence" with Handler talking most obvious thing ever and pretending to be in awed.

Wilds is "sequel" to World, but at least with characters so far. It seems to be more of a "sequel" or at least giving a nod to 4 more.

Wait til next weekend. June 7th or 8th for a bit more info.

Too much "cinematic", barely got an impression about anything. Characters like everything that RE does have weird faces and I can see the stench of the diversity consultant screeching "MORE BROWN PEOPLE".

Was expecting to get a lot more wowed but it's a gigantic wet fart compared to the Monster Hunter World trailer and wasn't much of a showcase of what you can do like Rise's was outside of weapon swapping.

We'll see when more news comes out, but first impression is tepid and they should know better.

I still have loved my time with World and Rise, so will still pay attention for sure next week, but I was hoping they would show me some of that open world and more importantly, why should I care and how it will not make it tedious to hunt a Diablos for the 35th time. Also, that there is a hook slinger makes me nervous that Tenderize is in, I never played Iceborn but it sounded like it was an annoying as fuck feature.

On a more optimistic note that assumes it won't be a giant disappointment, hope a new weapon comes into the scene. And if not... mmm maybe proper main bow for once.

On the website before Focus Mode part, no mentioning of any new weapon, soooo....... take your time.

Either you use your current game save file, messing around with bow a bit. Or just wait until next year, I assume there will be like game demo for everyone to test. Capcom has started doing demo for any games with RE engine.

I achieved peak rise after hitting Master rank 100. Certainly may revisit before Wilds comes out but between elden ring dlc and the next kiseki game getting localized I actually have a couple of new releases I'm keen on playing.

That aside, I've never been a main of any of the ranged weapons so curious to see if Wilds make them scratch my itch, though my default bow is the one I'm more keen on.

So let's see:
-More "muh story" in a fucking Monster Hunter game?
-Clutch claw: one of the worst mechanics from World, returns
-Fully leaning into open world slop
-Focus mode, which looks like journo mode
-Two weapon types on a hunt, further trivializing the entire aspect of preparedness for a hunt
World was a mistake.

Thank You <3 i saw the trailer tonight but i had to work so i was unable to make a post
my twitter exploded aswell with info and little gimmics, baby pukei pukei etc.

I wouldn't say I'm completely unimpressed with the trailer, but I'd be lying if I said I was excited. All it did was make me want to replay Worldborne again.

Holy fuck I hate those character designs. I dismissed it in Rise because of the return to that cartoony style from previous handheld games, but they look equally bad here. I genuinely thought, when the trailer started, it was going to be for a different game completely like a Horizon Zero Dawn ripoff or something.

In a way I do like the idea of what looks like industrial revolution stuff going on, but the style makes the men look like the kind of soft subby fem-males I see constantly in Korean entertainment, and makes the women look like that autistic hacker from Overwatch with the melanin and the stupid hair.

Granted this is Monster Hunter so I'm here for killing creatures the size of buildings with weapons the size of motorbikes and not for the story, and I enjoy a lot of the gameplay changes im inferring from what I saw, but it's going to be fucking obnoxious if I have to sit through shit with characters I don't care about and can't possibly believe would take down a Great Jaggi let alone anything else.

And I swear to God we better return to having a real Canteen with some fucking gangster food instead of a dumbass annoying kid making riceflour balls on sticks.
