which is far too slow and awkward to be enjoyable.
And yet people enjoyed it then and some maniacs even enjoy it now. It's definitely flawed with later games improving and expanding upon it (no shit) but to say it's unenjoyable speaks more towards your inability to play anything not packed with QoL.
"It's grindy so it's okay to waste your time".
Lol conveniently ignores this part:
Monster Hunter is barely a grind even after all of that, it's only grindy if you suck at the game that you need the most optimized shit imaginable, the most grindy thing the game can offer are gems, decos, plates, and crowns (later Endemic life) which are a fraction of the game and things you can get just by...playing normally.
Playing a barely-grindy
series how it's normally played is an unacceptable grind that wastes your time, rather than
just specifically going after the grindiest parts of the game apparently. Don't even need to read the rest of your shit since you're probably just nitpicking. Ah, fuck it.
I really enjoy going into a mission, shooting off Rath's tail and then quitting if it doesn't drop the less than 1% drop I want.
the most grindy thing the game can offer are gems, decos, plates, and crowns (later Endemic life) which are a fraction of the game
Nigger really?
You know, after I posted my...post, I thought "this guy probably gets most of his information from Flyann specifically." Just thought that was funny to share.
The reason why Worlds did so well is it cut away a lot of the problems Monster Hunter has with grinding. Pathetic losers want to spend 300 hours playing dress up with their waifu, but that's just mental illness.
Well when you overexaggerate to try and prove some point you made up in your head, it sure does sound like a mental illness.
The fun of MH is fighting monsters, seeing the new monsters. Progressing through the zoo and figuring out how to beat each one. It is not killing the same monster 200 times so you can get it's prostate to make a slightly better weapon, that knocks 5 minutes off your next 200 fights grind.
Except both can be true and false, because it can be appealing and unappealing to all sorts of players.
And you can do both like I said and you so conveniently ignored, the game is barely a grind to begin with and all these overexaggeratings of "needing to kill a gorillian monsters to get one item to slightly upgrade your weapon so you can shave off 0000.1 seconds for your next gorillian hunts (I can overexaggerated too)" is optional and bordering on unnecessary except maybe G (Master) rank, which is to be expected from the absolute end of the game.
It really just reads that you cannot complete a hunt unless you specifically
overprepared. You're getting filtered over what you perceive as necessary when numerous times I and many others can stick with almost the same gear with maybe a few weapon changes to make sure we aren't gimping ourselves for long stretches of our game time for multiple games in the series.
You are getting pissy over your own exaggerations and gaslighting
yourself into thinking that something is more trouble than it really is.
And lol yet another argument of:
>What's fun in (x game) is only what I consider fun
Have you considered that what can be considered a bit grindy is fun for
large parts of the entire player base? The older games, while niche, sold very well despite this "fun killing grind" you cry so much about, in fact they kept selling more despite this "grind" not really being diminished over the years, in fact I'd argue it increased over the years simply because there's just so much more content that was being added. If you don't like playing the games, why are you even here? Monster Hunter, despite its name, is not just hunting monsters. It's just that every other mechanic obviously needs it to function, so you're getting upset that the game isn't just mindless arcade mode. In that case, play Wilds, the game you
totally don't like.
I couldn't careless what autistic retards say about grinding and how much fun they're having doing it. Monster hunter being made for subhuman bugmen living in pods doesn't justify it being a shit experience.
"I do not care for what people who have played MH for about 2 decades have to say about the game they've played for around 2 decades, people who find themselves engrossed in a series and are knowledgeable about it don't know what they're talking about it so I must insult them for caring about their beloved game series and not liking where the series is going after 2 decades of sticking with it."
Games that force you to grind for hours to make tiny amounts of progress as for subhumans
So a lot of games? As I've said MH isn't as grindy a game you're making it seem unless you actively make it more grindy for yourself, you can make meaningful progress in a single day. Most games require you to actually play it for hours anyway but those are for subhumans by your logic. Every single MH game except maybe MHGU can be beaten in less than a week (if you play it consistently and aren't actively eating your controller, use the playtime on the save itself if you find yourself unable to play for long periods of time), if that's still too long for you because "muh grind" I just don't think MH is for you (or a lot of games for that matter).
makes you look like an even bigger retard for wanting to waste your time.
Did you know...that games are entertainment...and entertainment is (usually) meant to just past the time by entertaining yourself (and for a lot of people to additionally decompress from a long day)? And since most entertain is not really meant to be very useful, you can consider most forms of entertainment wastes of time. Shocking, I know. How dare those gaymers waste their time gayming.
