What a turn around. Went from Chandler clearly winning in the first round, to Oliveira connecting and TKOing in the 2nd.

Barboza fight was great.I actually enjoyed the main aside from Ferguson/Dariush and even that had that amazing post fight interview. I'm still rather new so a lot of the fighters are unknowns for me, but none of the fights felt like they actually dragged on with stretches of nothing.
Also Chandler looked really short, like I know that a lot of the people in the ring were just taller, but he looks so short and it was hilarious to me.
This is why I think Oliveira is going to drop the belt soon. He got smacked around in the 1st round and Chandler, as you said, isn't the most technical striker. He is basically the typical "explosive wrestler with a right hand (Woodley, Mendes, that sort of fighter)" . I think if they put Poirier or Gaethje with Olives, he's going to have to get it to the ground to win.Chandler's reversal after getting his back taken by Oliveira was beautiful to watch.
What wasn't exactly beautiful was Chandler's striking. Oliveira was caught good, but I don't think there was ever a time where Oliveira was praised for his defense. Chandler swings too big and stands too wide, which prevents him from using better footwork (i.e. pivoting and stance switching) and kicks.
Poirier would be a bad matchup for Chandler because of his superior hands. Gaethje would be a worse one because of his leg kicks and his hands. Both have the reflexes to defend against Chandler's looping punches as well.
At the end of the day though, I don't know how exactly Chandler's fights with both of these gentlemen would play out. I admired how well he handled his loss with Oliveira, so I can only conclude that he has the motivation and maturity to make major adjustments to his standup within half a year at most.
Here's a video of Chandler breaking down his loss to Oliveira, by the way.
Speaking of adjustments, I do not think Ferguson is capable of making them at this stage of his career. He's pretty old now, which probably means that he is set in his ways. I think Ferguson will be kept in the roster for the next few years (as we all know, Ferguson is stubborn individual + he's a fan favorite), but he will stick to fighting lower ranked dudes or other fan favorites who aren't top contenders (e.g. Cerrone, the Diaz bros, etc.)
What's your take on tonight's match? Font has a 5 or 6 inch reach advantage, but it's Cody. He can either be a disaster or come out looking shit hot.
Pretty much what you said. Cody also tried wrestling for the 1st two rounds with mixed success. This was a fight where you really saw and felt the 6 inch reach advantage being used. Funnily enough Rob said he could kinda tell Cody wanted bang but didn't until the 5th, where he had a bit more success. Still hits hard as hell though. Before the card started, I predicted that Font would win by a unanimous decision. Based on what i've seen of him, he isn't the fastest guy, but he does display a good understanding of basic boxing; in particular he stays behind his jab and uses it to set up other strikes.
Font has a much long reach than Cody, which is bolstered by his use of the jab. I thought that Font would be able to keep Cody off of him, using his straight shots to his advantage so that Cody couldn't advance with his hooks. I haven't actually watched the fight yet, but it turns out this is what he did, and Font confirmed this in his post-fight interview.
Font has been rising up pretty quickly, which is evident considering he beat the likes of Simon, Moraes, and now, Garbrandt. He reminds me of Kattar; he isn't fast with his hands, but he makes up for it by trying his best to keep the fight at the end of his reach.

Dude can't even get his pants on the right way.
Vettori is a stroppy Italian retard who did nothing to replicate Jan's success other than "just wrestle bro". Israel...very strong against and near the cage...so let's take him down using that. The man has subhuman fight IQ. Hoping Bobby gets that win and doesn't try imitating Gastelum's strategy, which got him knocked out.CANtorri is a can. Guess Izzy vs Bobby rematch is on. Bobby wins this time though.
