All the people who he's been punched by, Usman wouldn't in theory be the guy who would do it.

Quick stat, not a single fight on this main card went past the 2nd round. Not a single one.

Which is the same thing Masvidal did to Darren Till to knock him out. Tonight really was "it comes full circle" in spades.

Edit: To sum up tonight's main event.
  • Stoppage by leg kick because it caused drop foot.
  • The ghost of Anderson Silva exacting his revenge on Weidman on the first kick.
  • Shevchenko ragdolling the Wrestling/BJJ expert just to prove a point.
  • Rose sparking Weili, the same woman who went and produced the "greatest WMMA fight" ever in a 5 round fight.
  • Usman knocking out Masvidal on the feet clean in the same manner which Masvidal knocked out Till.
  • Not one single fight on the main card made it past the 2nd round.
Overall, probably the best card we are going to get this year.

What a fucking insane main card. Can't remember the last one to have so many twists and turns and jaw dropping moments packed into it. What I will say is, Usman has my utmost respect and attention now. That's a bad man.

If that's what we got after waiting a full year to get back to business, it was well worth the wait. Incredible.

How Bum Jesus got caught reminded me of Jake vs Ben, it's a curse of Asskren.
Usman did use hand trap but Bum Jesus could still block the punch with a shoulder roll, he got caught just because he was trying to counter with a lazy check hook. What a dumb bum.

I think Edwards has the best shot against Usman stylistically speaking but Colby is next in line (and most likely gets wrecked again) then... Wonderboy?? Usman is open about his knee injuries, I'm not sure he continues to fight until interesting guys like Edwards/Chimaev get the title shot, what a shame.

Also, Just make Edwards vs Bum happen already tomato man.

Usman hangs out with Ngannou, just punch harder bro.
 
The Shevchenko fight was great. She knew she could win easily on her feet so just to be an asshole she decided to beat Andrade at her own game and ragdolled her around the place instead. Who do you even put in against her next when she is doing that kind of shit?

I feel bad for the Chinese girl because she did come right back around the second the ref stopped the fight but prior to that she was at least halfways out/stunned and would have gotten badly hurt if he let it keep going.

Andrade needs to stay in 115lbs. She's too much of a womanlet for 125.
 
Holly shit, I'm pretty sure Rose has cloak of invisibility or some other shit because she moves in and Zhang doesnt react at all. She performed same thing with Joanna Jędrzejczyk in her 1st fight.

Also I kinda feel bad for Zhang. Of course I fully support line "fuck commies!", but let's be honest, she has fuck all to do with commies beside living in China. Getting boo'd by crowd at start, then being send to shadow realm. Tough night for her.
 
That leg shatter was the second most brutal injury I've ever seen in sports, being behind only Kevin Ware's NCAA injury in 2013 (you know when the dude's fibula popped out of his skin)

I don't follow the finances of the sport at all, but the replies seem to indicate that Paul has a point here.
