I dozed off and woke up as they were doing the preambles walkouts and shit. Was taking so long I figured I'd go grab a quick drink and a sandwich, come back and Rousey and Carano were hugging and the cage was full of people so I figured it still hadn't started, only to realise it had and I'd missed the entire fight.

I mean UFC 329 isn't really looking better than this lmao. Just look at the main event, two squash matches in the favor of prospects, two journeymen fights and then lol conor.
The ones who hype for conor are the exactly same as whoever hypes for the MVP if you think about it
 
That was the worst card I have ever seen. 4 1st round finishes and 1 2nd round TKO because Diaz was leaking so bad from his head. Rousey with a 17 second finish. It's like watching a crypto scam if it was a fight night. The UFC Fight Night was somehow better than this garbage.

Diaz was fucked though, he got saved by that bell and his team threw in the towel because they knew he was cooked. If there would have been another 20 seconds after that jumping knee to the temple, he'd have been put to sleep.
 
Well, I had fun watching the fights. Even Rousey, I love me that classic Judo style of just taking someone down and ripping an arm off.
There was good action, no real upsets but it wasn’t exactly the most even competition to begin with, and I wonder what comes next in this odd little market.

The thing is, it wasn't a competition, none of the three main figths of this netflix card were, for fucks sakes, Carano haven't fought in almost 20 years, of course she would look like it.

This was a novelty act, using famous names from the past to prop up a product that doesn't really have much in term of actually delivering a compeling sportsmanship.

Don't get me wrong, novelty acts have a place in mma, you could argue that is how the thing was born, but this sort of smoke and mirrors Jake Paul has put up here doesn't have legs to go far. Not to mention that none of the figthers involved in this event will go on to invest their name and time to grow a competitor to the UFC, they got their bag and they are going to bounce.

Last time Mcgregor backed away from a fight, it was just days prior and before that he didn't show up for press event.

The excuse was that he broke one of his toes, but the reality was that Conor just couldn't commit to a training camp due being a erratic junkie.

The people behind Mcgregor tried to see how far they could've kick down the can, but when came the time, they pulled out, because if Mcgregor made to the fight it would be the most embarrassing beating in the UFC's history, and that would hurt their cash cow and in turn, themselves.

Hell, Jew Paul was probably in on it too. They all got their bag from this event. For fucks sake, you could even tell during the slo-mo replay that Gina was smiling and started to tap out before Drowsey even had her fully locked in. And then the obligatory womanly hugfest immediately afterwards. Props to Gina for pulling herself out of a terminal depression and losing a hundred pounds though. Anything that Jew Paul is involved with should be investigated by the FTC for gambling law violations.
 
That was some James Toney turning up for a paycheck against Couture levels of fighting in that main event from Carano. Woman who hasn’t fought in mma before Max debuted vs a woman who even years out is known for doing one thing - the takedown/hip toss to arm bar.

Both got quite a bag as well from it as well.
 
Of course Perry was going to win. Can't remember the last time I betted on a loser in UFC, should I just start posting who I'm betting on here beforehand so you can all benefit from my wisdom?
Fwiw I don't know who I'm banking on for McGregor Holloway.

The funniest thing I've ever seen is when he snapped his shin like a fucking wishbone and he was STILL running his retarded mouth to the guy while laying on the mat waiting to go to hospital.
The guy is my fucking age, he weighs around 150 pounds, and the only thing that he's able to run in the octagon these days is his stupid accented mouth.
There's no amount of performance enhancers that could help him if you put him in the ring with an even semi decent fighter who has discipline and trains their ass off.
He'll be like that coward nigger Jon Jones and spend the rest of his career only cherry picking fights against people he knows for a fact he can beat.
 
Perry vs. McGregor, now that's a fight I'd watch. Getting in the ring with Perry must feel like coaxing a coked up pitbull. I love watching the guy. Though I'm not the biggest bare knuckle fan, as those fights generally just devolve into a retard slugfest.

As long as he was able to guard himself long enough to deliver those punches to that black sponge McGregor calls a liver, it would be fucking OVER.
We're never going to see it though, because like I said, he's a chicken. He's going to do a Jon Jones and just cherry pick easy fights for the rest of his career for money.
He never believed in the honour or discipline of combat, he's always been an arrogant poof who does his little gay walk around the ring and runs his mouth harder than he runs his cardio.
I would love to see him crumble though after Perry hits a three piece on his liver. :story:

He was holding his guard up pretty good to get inside on Nate and that's why he won. Even if he wouldn't have completely destroyed his face and tapped him like he was getting maple syrup, he still would have won that fight.
That punch and knee combo at the very end of round 2 fucked Nate up. You could absolutely tell that his corner called the fight off not so much because they couldn't stop the bleeding, it was because they knew if he walked back into that fight for the third round he was going to get knocked flatter than a lizard drinking.

That knee to the face was a real "fuck it, let's get one last hit in" I loved it. Poor Diaz, he probably needs to retire. Post fight press conference he was mumbling about a rematch.

It's bad when I confidently say Floyd Mayweather put on better rigged fights than whatever this bullshit is. That's why a lot of these novelty fights have minimal time frames. You can see Gina just not try at all and roll with it, smile in the arm bar and immediately they both get up and cheer for their payday. It wasn't hidden and it's clear to me Jake put no round minimums into their contract. If you want to be really cynical 4 Round 1 matches should tell you something about that.

Jake Paul is a fucking moron. Whatever lessons he took from Mayweather, he clearly didn't pay attention to.
