Is it bad I am now almost wholly uninterested in the UFC and broader MMA in some regard? I will catch highlights and watch people now 'n again... But it just feels as though the product is more boring than I can ever imagine. I miss the days of the izzy dogshagging, Jones getting into constant trouble etc. Just felt like yesterday where something was there and now I have to rely on the fucking japs for my entertainment for even fighting now.

You have the fatigue. Been with me since they merged with WME. Oversaturated market with a shitty promoter that can't sell a name that isn't retired. It still amazes me the big red tomato hasn't sunk the company and been "disappeared" to the desert by the Fertitas.

Champs are inactive (Merab was our last hurrah). Top contenders, and contenders in general, aren't strivers; they're mostly nice, respectful guys who are happy to put on something for the fans with no stakes (you literally sending each other to the hospital, so act like there's more to this, please). And anyone who tries to raise stakes (Ilia, Hokit) is seen as delusional and/or a fake douchebag.

Is Shavkat going to recover? Or did cuck retire him?
Torn meniscus and ACL. He needs to clean up his training regimen (at certain point of injury you can't will yourself through injuries) if he has any intent of coming back as a contender.

As much as I despise every other facet of Ian Garry, I will give that Irish dork his credit: his fight IQ is incredibly high, to the point that it compensates for deficits in skill or aggression. Playing the game smart is how he beat Prates and avoided destruction by Rahkmanov.

UFC booking went from okay to ass with the Paramount era.

I'm hoping against vain hope that either Jake Paul or Eddie Hearn present some credible threat to UFC in the future.

When the supposed best is at its worst, it drags everything else down with it.

Since the Paramount deal, the UFC has completely lost the “big fight” feeling and no event feels unique. There is no difference between a Fight Night and a proper numbered event, except you might see some action in the Apex. The entire focus is to shill products to the masses. Bro, you can’t even get a fucking first round knock out without it being an ad for another company.

It’s homogenized and gay. There is a LOT of focus on shit outside of the fights too. Like Laura Sanko, DC, and whoever else is on their pre-fight show bullshit trying really hard to be funny. I have no idea who this stuff is for. I also cannot stand Nina Drama. Holy shit, she is insufferable.

They can't keep up having a shitty promoter or product forever, even if line just keeps going up forever. At some point the profits will tank and like Charity Sityadong (hah, sityadong), it will fall apart as investors start pulling their cash from it. Even the arabian sheihk's and princes cannot keep funelling money forever because they will always want to see a return on investment. Even ADCC follows this as well.

She should go back to being in playboy mags

I am calling that within about 5 years the company is either going to splinter into different orgs or try to take everything down with it. This sort of drought of good fights, good fighters etc has never really been seen in the promotion and has been going on for years now.

They get $1.1 billion per year from Paramount. I know for a fact that ESPN lost money on the UFC deal overall. They didn't get near enough signups or PPV buys to justify the money they were paying to the UFC. And that was only a $300 million annual deal. Paramount is paying four times that and also not getting PPVs from the American audience. This deal was truly insane.

We have nearly seven years of poor broadcasts. Even the pirate streams are just rebroadcasts of the terrible Paramount show. I can't imagine the UFC is more popular in the United States seven years from now. The UFC owners only care about selling TKO to the Saudis or some other camel nigger country. This is why the fights are less important than the stock price or putting on shows in arab countries.

I know JDM is beloved but I really wasn't interested in his fight against Islam when it was announced. If you're a boxer you better have power like Ilia because your legs are open for the picking. That's why I was mad when Islam ducked Ilia to fight JDM instead. And honestly, JDM is too small for the weight class. Heck, he looked even smaller than Islam! So it was no surprise he dominated him, and Carlos is not only a muay thai monster, but he's also WAY bigger.
Nope, you watch this guy vs Hafez and you knew he was cooked against Islam. Wouldn’t mind seeing him vs Prates even if I assume Prates will get taken down and subbed. You want a monstrous guy who can one shot Islam or put on a brutal beating on him as an opponent rather than “I guess he’s good but never does anything truly impressive” Garry,

Going over into boxing as well means they are trying to spread this poison over there as well. Seems to be having issues because none of the boxers look at the Zuffa Belt as anything other than a meme.

The Ali amendment bill is devious. Trying to make another UFC and undercut the sanctioning bodies, allow them to have the same kind of restrictive contracts you see in the UFC and also not reveal finances. Real good sign that they have no confidence in being able to play without ripping up boxer protections and the current system.

Idk what UFC looks like in 7 years but the hardcore underground fanbase seems to be drying up an in place are gambling addicts who don’t care about the product they just need to hit the parlay.

guys... we still don't a female title fight... or a main event... or a co-main in a numbered event... we only had one female fight in the main card of a numbered event (Silva v. Namajunas at 324)
this is the greatest era of the UFC since 156
Raquel Pennington is still ranked number 2 despite not having fought since losing the belt to Peña in 2024

I’m gonna be real, I felt the UFC was dying while Jones was champ, the UFC tried to push him hard but he never really had excellent ppv numbers like GSP or Mcgregor. I think his constant bullshit made for a lack of consistency in his fights which really broke up the momentum.

According to eternal jew Ariel Helwani the tickets for this are Partner Investment tickets going for 1.5M - not for you plebs.

Cumshot threw an oblique kick at Strickland during the faceoff scrum and it connected. They’re saying it hit the knee that he compromised during his motorcycle accident.
Something half interesting for once but again the ufc should go back to doing one on one face offs. Now that Strickland has been hit there, I can see them running back purely on “well Strickland wasn’t in prime condition”. I don’t know if Dana will be willing to stand his American cash cow being beaten up by his forced Chechen cash cow.

IYKYK, Strickland has been through a number of UFC hit jobs. He's elite, but they'd sooner send him to Prelim Hell than deal with him on the main card mic.

Sean is genuinely a cash cow that they are willing to tip and hoping to put to pasture someday. The milk is delicious while it lasts, though!
