I know JDM is beloved but I really wasn't interested in his fight against Islam when it was announced. If you're a boxer you better have power like Ilia because your legs are open for the picking. That's why I was mad when Islam ducked Ilia to fight JDM instead. And honestly, JDM is too small for the weight class. Heck, he looked even smaller than Islam! So it was no surprise he dominated him, and Carlos is not only a muay thai monster, but he's also WAY bigger.

Prates styled the absolute shit out of JDM. He was laying traps JDM couldn't deal with and yet again, JDM gets punished with that calf kick. That right leg was completely eaten up by the end of Rd2. Once Prates realized that he was not only faster than Jack, but that Jack's punches couldn't one-shot him, it was all but a done deal.
Prates merits the next title shot (or a wrestle-fucking) or at least a runback with Ian Garry.
