That’s was such a classic Pico loss to try and bulldoze the other guy and then get wiped out in brutal fashion.

Mix looked like he had no idea how to fight vs Bautista and then looked shit against Wiklacz, who was a debuting grappler and champ in KSW and loved to jump the gilly. Even his BJJ didn’t look that good vs Wiklacz.

McKee would get smashed because he’s in that Pimblett/Mix role of having bullshit striking that works against short people and it’s the grappling that bails him out/wins him fights. Old ass Pitbull managed to win the rematch by holding his ground and countering him.

UFC is desperate for new stars under Paramount. Lopes is a fan favourite so they are just begging to God that Volk’s chin is gone.

That... And the UFC's featherweight is kinda shit.

Their #1 contender, Evloev, last fought in 2024, and their other high ranker, Yair Rodrigues fought only once last year, sitting around waiting for his shot.

Murphy is on a streak, but he ain't the most exciting fighter, and Lopes had one hell of a K.O against Jean Silva.

The rest of the division are on a L or not high enough to get the shot.

So Lopes it is. I just hope the kid has some sort of a gameplan other than just chin Volk, otherwise this will be just a waste of time.

And of course, the UFC wants that Mexican champion... Even if Lopes is brazilian.

Not saying Yair deserves it, but that is what he is doing. I guess in his head it makes sense?

I mean, yeah Pitbull is a legend, on his prime, but he is 38, with a billion fights on his back, Pitbull is now a shadow of what he once was, but for Some reason Yair thinks he can coast on a decision against him for a title shot.
 
To be fair, we did have O'Malley get an immediate rematch for absolutely no reason against Merab, so it could be worse.
 
If you guys have a Pi-hole at home and you’re running into loading issues with this gay ass stream, disable blocking for like 45 seconds and then reconnect to the stream. Then turn blocking on again.

This shit is actually ridiculous. I already miss ESPN+. Their ads are overlays on the live stream.
 
Lopes could be the best fighter in the world and I still wouldn't be able to take him seriously, he looks like somebody faceswapped Skrillex and George W Bush.
