Overall uneventful card. The new Paramount deal and associated advertising overload is fucking ridiculous. Ads before the fight, ads during the walkout, more ad mentions from the announcers, and I don't know if it's just me, but it seemed like the between-round breaks were extended in order to fit ads in there. If I were actually paying to watch this thing (LOL) I'd be pissed.

Glad to see Paddy the flabby get a beatdown from an almost-retired Gaethje. His undeserved push and Dana White-privilege couldn't get him over the line this time. Theres something about cocky Yuropeens that enrages me on a visceral level.

My future ex-girlfriend Rose Namajamanajanunas got robbed though. It was a boring fight but I had her winning the rounds 2-1. (:_( The fact that the judges gave a unanimous decision to (Generic Brazilian lesbian MMA fighter #34,212) is a shame. Never let the outcome go to judges decision.
 
The number of ads was really off putting to me. I remember more of the ads than I do the event proper. Nothing like getting fucking Polymarket thrown in your face during a dint which takes up an entire fourth of your screen.

I know we all hate ESPN but man I’d go for some beers brewed for those with a fighting spirit over whatever the fuck this shit is. I watch the numbered events events at a bar typically, and I can only imagine every event is going to be this packed with ads.

I don't mind this. Sure, Gaethje get folded by Ilia, but it will be a sick fight while it lasts. And I'm pretty interested to see Holloway vs Arman if Holloway wins
 
Also, for all his bjj, Paddy seems to just be incapable of wrestling. Had Green not suicidally shot a takedown on him, I reckon he could've made it close

It was a good fight, as it exposed that fake D*na hype job in the best way possible. Anyone with a brain knows it has to be Arman vs Ilia, but U Fight Cheap keeps insisting the other way, fuck their astroturfing shit campaign lol.

It definitely did feel stretched but that could be a consequence of losing fights at the last minute and naturally having time to fill. We'll need to see how other cards go before we canr eally tell, but frankly if they're anything like last night I'm going back to skipping live cards and watching catch up the next morning.
