Dumped energy trying to big man him and gassed out. Wonder how much him fighting and cutting an insane amount of weight which we know from UFC 311 is now hitting him hard. Hate watching Allen. Dull as dishwater as a fighter and annoying to boot.
 
crashed out at the main event. i don't think brendan allen is good at all. middleweight division looking cooked. just very disappointed

De Ridder won Round 1, lost the next three. If Brendan Allen wasn't a dumbass, he'd be legitimately dangerous.

I'm kind of torn on RDR quitting on the stool. Go out on your shield, fight to the bitter end is all well and good, but MMA is a business, and if you have no reasonable path to victory, it is reasonable to throw in the towel, avoid damage you can't protect yourself from, and live to fight another day.

Business brain says: "Good call." Inner Just Bleed Bro: "What a bitch."

Allen wants do-overs with Strickland and Imavov. At this point and given the state of 185, why the hell not? Make something interesting happen.

So I watched Aniki's vid on Aspinall, Jones and Ngannou, and I wanted to know what is the UFC's HW line of succession, so I charted it out

I didn't take into account the rest of the orgs, cause can't be bothered, and I follow the logic of "beat the man to be the man". If you don't think Barnett's win is legit (he took PEDs) then there is a connection between Couture (2) and Rodriguez, since the latter won against the former for the belt, which gives you a connection between Coleman and Ngannou, making his departure more dramatic
Aspinall has a win against Arlovski, but I don't think that gives me a connection between him and the lineage of champs

I know Gane isn't good (he has the heart of the Black Beast and the fight IQ of Curtis Blaydes) but his victory will make U Fight Cheap and everyone involved looks like clowns, including Jones since it would mean that he got scared shitless by a nonexistent threat.
