I don't know much about MMA, and even less about the UFC, but one thing I do know: I do not like Dana White.
Quite recently, for various reasons, I delved into some drama of the fighting world; both of MMA and of WWE.
I was made aware of the quite recent situation with Quinton Jackson's son, Raja Jackson, for example, and his beating of the amateur wrestling fighter Stuart Smith. Just search for the names for more information and videos of the brutal and very unfortunate beating of Stuart Smith.
At any rate, through searching for drama like that, I came into contact with the situation of Phil Baroni and Jonathan Paul Koppenhaver, for example, but also of the knee to the head that Evangelista Santos suffered.
And so, I came into contact with various interviews with Dana White. He obviously doesn't need an introduction in this thread.
I just don't like the guy at all. He only seems to take softball questions at press conferences, and in the rare events that a journalist asks him some mildly uncomfortable questions, such as his stance on the relatively meager wages the UFC pays out to fighters participating in the organization for example, he becomes extremely condescending and reverts to some sort of bullying behavior. His whole spiel about the UFC not being a career but rather "an opportunity" is extremely irritating. The way he holds the microphone with both of his hands while leaning into it annoys me as well.
He's playing the role of a promoter of a publicly traded business in which he is a minority owner, yes, but the way he goes about his business is extremely annoying to me. I value integrity and honesty, and I can't exactly say that Dana White embodies these principles.
I just wanted to ask you guys what you think of the man?
