He should retire, he’s been to the top of the mountain, made his money, guaranteed a HoF spot. He’s never getting another title shot at MW after this and he’s too small for LHW.

He clearly won that first round. I don’t know what to think about this. It’s like he really wants to bank on a counter right that just doesn’t come too often, and he’s leaving himself far too open. I don’t think he’s as powerful as he was in 2023 when he knocked Alex out.

Honest suggestion: go train at XCMMA with Eric Nicksick. He’s really good at accentuating the positives of his fighters. Teep and jab with Strickland, use your freakishly long limbs to your advantage. Whoever is telling you to engage in these firefights is a certified retard.

MVP v Izzy would actually be an awesome fight.
 
Izzy's turning 36 this year and has over 100 pro fights across Kickboxing and MMA, with a game that centers around his speed and reflexes. He's going through the normal decline elite fighters have once age and damage catches up to them.

I think it's too late for a change in camps to achieve much honestly. Everything he does is too ingrained in him to the point where he can't really deviate from his toolbox mid-fight if things aren't working. Hasn't he been working with the same striking coaches for pretty much his whole Combat Sports career? There's also the chance that he's on a Moraes type slide where his durability just isn't going to be there anymore regardless of who he's facing.

Honestly, if I were his coach I'd just tell him to hang up the gloves. That's two fights in a row where any success he had early comes undone as soon as the other guy starts landing on him, and before that Strickland dropped him. That paints a very grim picture for his chin even if he's not getting put out yet.

I couldn't watch the card due to the streams being unfuckingwatchable but I'm glad said nurgoatfucker lost and even though I am a bit sad izzy lost, it was deserved. this nigger is going to be fighting on fight night prelims from this point forward. izzy is done. there's no coming back from this. he will never be in title talks again

It tends to be the best decision any good French Fighter makes. He can spot talent but dude's a mid coach at best, shady businessman too considering he withheld a UFC offer from Abdouragimov to make sure he signed with PFL because Fernand would get a higher cut from that paycheck.
