No. He broke his teeth with an elbow which happens all of the time. So Whittaker tapped to the face crank immediately because his teeth were already smashed in. When Perry fought Rockhold in BKFC he did the same thing with a couple of straight punched to Rockhold's teeth.
Of course he felt a click. Whittaker's jaw was already broken so squeezing on it is going to make it slide around more. This happens in MMA, MT, or bareknuckle because the gloves are small enough to cause small hits and in sports where elbows or knees are allowed. MVP in Bellator literally kneed a guy's skull into fragments. Whittaker got his teeth punched in (or elbowed most likely) then Chimaev starts cranking on the same spot so he taps immediately. If he somehow survived it would have been stopped by his corner or the ref once they saw his teeth and jaw anyways.

Depends on Della. He's been sick with an infection since the fight with Burns in March, and the surgery/drugs haven't done their job last I checked (been months) and went and infected the bone in his arm, which is why he's sort of vanished and wasn't on the Australia card with DDP and Izzy. Don't know what state he is in now regarding being fight ready.
Tbf I'm more interested in watching DDP fight Chimaev than Strickland or Adesanya. Chimaev vs. Adesanya could be interesting, but I suspect that he'd do to Strickland what he did to Whittaker.
12–6 is a bit of a meme obviously, but the grounded opponent rule change could be big. Hopefully they'll extend it to exclude anything other than the torso at some point.
