Its really a fucking shame how much the sport has regressed under ONE and Glory, when both at one point had momentum to take kickboxing and muay thai to greater heights.

Chatri is no different than any other hunched over, knuckle dragging retard. He just has cooler toys to play with

RISE and K-1 have grown exponentially in the last five to six years and have good little products, I think. It's just too bad that they don't have any truly elite talent over 145 pounds and what they do have, ultimately end up toiling away in the shithole that is ONE.

the first guy to ever get KO'd in the ufc just passed away. I always felt bad for him, the way he lost, it was really violent, and willy looked like he has a kind face, so it felt bad to see

I think he was the only person to try sumo in MMA/the UFC

It's nothing but a LARP. He's a former hooligan just like almost everyone else from that era (and probably the current one too) of Czech MMA.

It’s an entertaining LARP. I prefer it over the standard macho Conor wannabe bullshit that Ian and everyone else does. I wouldn’t mind seeing Jiri fight in King of the Streets, honestly.

As much as I like both dudes and would love for autistic samurai to win, I don’t see him getting the edge on Alex. Jiri is very herky-jerky and leads with his head. Both dudes are very powerful so anything can happen.
 
For those who haven’t watched any King of the Streets, I’ll share a recent clip that’s short and sweet. I love this stuff. As @bile demon mentioned above, all of this stuff is basically organized hooligan fights except the rules are pretty ambiguous. You quit or the ref eventually steps in right before you lose consciousness. This fight is less than six minutes long and the outcome is as surprising and it is visceral.

It’s definitely not for everyone but there is a certain rawness to it which appeals to me. The clip I’ll share is very tame in comparison to what else is on offer. There’s some very egregious soccer kicks to a downed opponent on concrete, heavy eye gauging*, and even ears being ripped off.


* if you decide to watch this fight, I recommend looking into the fighter himself. He’s fascinating. His fights aren’t always as entertaining as this one though. There’s tons of drama.
 
Another showcase of Strickland being more entertaining when he isn't paid.

Anpo boxes Pacquiao in next Rizin. I absolutely hate how Rizin waste big money on retired boxers who are nobodies in Japan (they only care about Japanese boxers), but at least Rizin isn't sacrificing their MMA champ this time.

If Ank wrestlefucks him for 5 rounds I'll quit watching the sport. Worse case they find a way to put him against Jones and he gets submitted. The Aspinall fight would be great, but the earliest it could happen is Q1 2025 assuming the Jones v Stipe retirement home bout happens November/December.

You know the card was shit when Macy Chaisson has a good shot at the 2nd performance bonus.
 
The second round of that fight shouldn't have been allowed to happen. Jiri didn't even realise the round was over when he first got knocked down and he was clearly out of it when he went back to his corner.
