Iliacs are claiming he's just trash-talking and playing a character. I stand by my statement from 300:
i rooted for volk to win but wouldn’t be surprised due to islams second win

i said fair play when ila won but this dude has been nothing but an utter faggot since he got the belt

he does all this gay bible verse shit on twitter with max, wants to become double champ, and expects to have all his demands met

idk but the weird rise in champions wanting to go double champ has been a sore pain in my asshole for a little bit now

this man does everything but fight

and yes jon, tom is the interim champion for a fucking reason. he’s supposed to be fighting you next

Its gotta have something to do with the younger champions ~30 y/os coming into the sport during peak McGregor mania. They see becoming a champion(or even a top contender) as a ticket to cross division big money fights and potentially a huge money boxing matchup. Can't blame them for chasing better money, but it degrades the importance of reaching the top of the mountain in their division if guys are moving around before they actually clear out contenders.

this has gotta have something to do with it on a basic level, but the recent trend is something I 100% blame on Pereira.
the second he went up to lhw and smoked Jiri, is when I started seeing every single asshole talking about moving up. that bald cunt Leon was among the first to talk about doing it.

sure Volk tried it months before. but he failed, so I think if pereira hadn't succeeded shortly afterwards, those faggots like Edwards and Omaley wouldn't keep on yapping about wanting to do it too.
with Volk, he had genuinely cleaned his division, so fair enough, and with Pereira, he had just lost the belt so it makes sense to move up and try something new.
but every other champion that's talking about it, is utterly unremarkable at this point in their career, and just wants to do something that makes em seem bigger and more valuable.

(though tbh, I think down the line I would like to see Islam move up and see what happens)

this man almost managed to get a DQ but somehow pulled off a win

he is unstoppable

The rules are so gay. That is a legitimate guard pass and intent and discretion should be taken into account when enforcing the lame ass grounded opponent rules. If he had been DQ'd it would've been extremely gay, but probably would've happened stateside.

Brazilian fans suck.
Kinda, but also the UFC are scheduling these PPVs at times for the US - it’s 2-3am in Rio, which is exactly the kind of city where you don’t want to be out and about in at 3am.

Screwing the British fans and fighters with the upcoming PPV in Manchester - it normal US timing there, meaning the main event/will be done at around 5am in the morning. All because US PPV costs on ESPN are about 80 bucks. Bit insane to me if you are a British fighter that they will have to fuck up their sleep schedule with training for an at home card.

Steve Erceg showed his teeth in that fight. There is no way Brazilian judges would ever give an American a decision win over a Brazilian if there was a way around it, but it was the right call. Eventually, Pantoja is going to regret blocking punches with his face.

Jose Aldo might be scuffed, but he still has gas in the tank.

Tonight’s Fight Night card is weird. It’s either going to be incredibly one-sided for each bout where we are going to see tons of knockouts, or it’s going to be boring as piss. I’m over Derrick Lewis and only hope he wins to listen to the shoot promos he gives on the mic.

UFC 304 card is up:

White vs. Muhammad for Shavkat's next victim the Welterweight Title
Aspinall vs. Blaydes for the Interim Heavyweight Title
Pimblett vs. Green
Allen vs. Chikadze
Mokaev vs. Kape

I hope to god mokaev vs kape doesn't fall through. kape pulls out so often, but that fight sounds so good.
glad belal finally got a fucking title shot, so we can be done with this. Tom defending his interim title is so goofy,

yeah 304 seems pretty good actually, despite the fact it's at like 4am local time lol.
