Colby destroys Ian Garry in hilariously brutal fashion.

https://twitter.com/ColbyCovMMA/status/1767976394506559530
Colby has lost any aura he used to have, i dont really know how to describe it but that whole video is pure waffle where his words are completly weightless.
His attempts to say outrages things like chael just always fall flat, and his statements about being the biggest star have crossed the line from confidence to pure cope.
It helps that colby was called out by the biggest retard in welterweight, a "Man" that manages to tank his own stock every single fucking time he makes a post or records a video.
These 2 faggots are getting on my nerves, i wish they could knock eachother out but colby is too washed and Ian too soy. that being said Ian will do more harm to his own name on fight week than all of the shite misspoken prewritten jokes from colby. i predict their fight will be boring as sin

Colby has no choice, he has to make this fight with Ian to save his career. I've hated his shtick for a while, especially because he is completely inauthentic, but if he can hone in on Ian Garry and his situation, he's definitely gonna win people back and he might even beat Garry.

aye i think hes kinda fucked himself, being the knockoff chael sonnen may have saved him before when he was winning fights but after the leon fight now he looks like a juicy target for all the undefeated welterweights that can maul him for his name value, doesnt help hes antagonised basically everyone to the point where half of the roster want to stomp him in public. I think Colby will do ok at the presser, he just needs to steal twitter jokes and call ian a cuck which is all he's done so far. My hope is we get another "seventh layer of hair" moment because genuinly it's the best part about colby, i want another broken jawed "Madison Square do it"

Apparently Jose Aldo is back at UFC 301, fighting #14 ranked Jonathan Martinez:

Holy shit, according to a filing with the SEC, the UFC has settled it's antitrust cases by agreeing to pay out $335 million

Never was about the fighters, all for one last payday. All got peanuts and nothing changes. Would be better if they did get paid more, as would allow fighters better resources to improve and thereby perform better.

See with well known boxers that they have full solo camps or get this coach dedicated to them for one specific fight. Few MMA fighters have the cash to do that, even at the highest/champ level. Really off the top of my head it’s GSP and Volk who did this.

Edit: No incentive for the UFC to change as well. They have their ESPN deal which means they get a flat amount for putting on weekly events. Covid ended up being a godsend for them because they set up the Apex and got a whole bunch of new viewers who got used to the Apex, and therefore they don’t need to try (before everything had to be a road show with a live audience.

Add on that PFL have also seemed to have brought on all the failures with Bellator, including their marketing department, they are running on Saudi money. ONE is a sieve that Chatri has to keep running to find life vests to keep afloat, in a market the UFC don’t care about.

Fighter’s really are cucks who took the small amount (which is going to be a tax writeoff for the UFC) after 10 years of litigation.

Only the top boxers and MMA fighters fly in sparring or training partners for each camp individually. No one else can afford it. The fact is that low and mid level boxers are making around the same money as a UFC fighter. Meaning not much. If you are not holding a belt or fighting for the top contender spot you will be making almost nothing on fights in boxing. Some of the top ranked boxing promotions are still paying guys $5K to show for a fight. UFC has guys starting on $10K level contracts. You have to split that with your team, trainers, gym, managers, and things like a publicist or whatever. It's brutal.

Even some boxing champions have had other jobs. Andrew Cancio was a WBA champion who worked for Southern California Gas repairing gas lines. Al Iaquinta basically stopped training in the UFC to work more in real estate because the money was better. He fought Khabib on short notice for the belt despite barely being a part time fighter at that point.

Funny that real estate seems to be a thing with ex-fighters. Joe B, aka the best flyweight to never win the UFC title and who is married to Olivi is now doing real estate. Adesanya put up a video of him doing real estate in NZ, think Usman has a few.

Still remember Dillashaw in some interview mentioning that him getting a 2 year suspension was probably the best thing for him because it forced him to diversify and get alternate sources of income, to the point that he didn’t need to fight to live comfortably when he returned. Atm that seems to be the best thing for these guys. Get some cache, make a name for yourself and run with it in business. Of course, that’s presuming that the UFC don’t come asking for a cut because part of their contracts allow the company to do so.

Investing in real estate is what most non retarded fighters with a good financial manager would recommend they get into as well as mining/precious metal stocks. Plus, it doesn't take much to transfer from a career where you get CTE for a living to being a property manager or have an agency deal with their properties.

Man, feel so bad for Coleman, the trauma of his daughters seeing Fedor nearly kill him, to this, sad feels for the doggo. Dude is a legend and a real fuckin hero saving his parents from a house fire.

Any frens really give a shit about todays card, having a bet on any fights?
Could be quite a few underdogs getting up and some good value long shot props hitting like last week.

Lima and Da Silva on the undercard should be a good fight. Igor Da Silva is a Chute Box Jaoa Emilio guy, trains with Brito could be a very good prospect.
Straight up at +ev and $6 for ko/tko prop.

I hope Talbott beats the gay out of DDP's and MMA Guru's twink Saaiman.
I'd just go with Talbott straight up.

Holobaugh to win/by sub. +ev for win and $6 for sub.

Ramos and Erosa should be a great scrap. Leaning Erosa to win / by sub, especially seeing the sub line has moved from $9 to $6.50. Wish I got on early.

Tafa likely gets held down to a decision by Williams, maybe subbed like Tai last week.

Usman and Parkin the same. More than likely both fat man boring decisions.
Bet both straight, maybe a shot on Usman by sub at $16

Edmen will probably decision Dobson.

Billy Q could sub the Hamas guy.
Pajuelo KO/TKO's Padilla.

Rest of the fights I couldn't really care for, especially WMMA.

Off topic, but is it safe to say that Sean Strickland is the new Chuck Liddell as far as personality goes? Every time I see his post game interviews, he reminds me of how Chuck would respond once someone mentions Tito Ortiz for the millionth time.

Severino vs Lima was fucking wild as Severino went full Hannibal Lector and tried to take a chunk outta Lima:

Bite tweet.jpg

Lima apparently got a Bite of the Night bonus, along with a fucking tattoo of it for some reason, and unsurprisingly Severino was yeeted out of the UFC.

Also I'm not sure who the dumb bint on commentary was (think it was Sanko but not 100%), but listening to her trying to suggest it was some sort of accident, even as replays were showing Severino leaning into it to maintain the bite, was fucking retarded.

I didn't care to watch the card, have just watched all the clips of the finishes.

Severino just went from being one of the best prospects to potentially ruining if not long term derailing his career, dumber move than Paul Daley's nigger cheap shot.
